When the item server is down, I see it as both a blessing and a curse. When it's down, the game returns back to it's bare roots (nearly) and you're forced to return to a time when there were no hats, no alternate items or taunts. Just pure Team Fortress 2. However. What is Team Fortress 2 but a miserable pile of hats? Half of the game is taken away from you, with no way to change your loadout to counter the enemy, or show off your enormous wealth of items. The game is very different from what it used to be, and that is both a good thing and a bad thing.

Well if you dont count mobility stocks are better than unlocks on, sniper, scout, demo, soldier, pyro, engie. And others have litle downsides, heavy=no lunch medic stock primary sucks and spy doesnt fool good players...

@@2dark_4fortnite88 actually you're wrong since invis watch is the best watch unless you're playing hl. dead ringer only works againts bad players. also the problem on med is mostly the lack of ubersaw. engi loses the rescue ranger and wrangler which are his best items and last soldier if not using gunboats then a banner would be better than a shotgun for his team

Valve should add in a gamemode that would be sort of a "throwback" mode. Vanilla items only, no cosmetics, no airblast, no upgrading dispensers and teleporters, etc. Because that's how TF2 was back in 2007.
