I went there this week & the paternoster was switched off & there was a sign saying "Paternoster closed today for maintenance 18/11/15".

I think that the glass lift is an otis with 70's dewhurst style thyssenkrupp buttons.

You know what I can't stand? When people leave their goddamned trash inside a perfectly good vintage elevator car. I do love that dinner bell "ding!" sound. Great find, Ben!

your lift tours are very entertaining. tilting windows are fun. where is 7a in relation to 7? those otis lifts are still good. please keep them. 1960s fixtures are brilliant.

An awesome set of lifts, although it looks like time is starting to catch up with them and the boring generic buttons will be everywhere soon. I like that glass lift, not seen buttons like that on an Otis before.

middle tower lift looks more broken they would not take 2 lifts off at once and it does not have the metal panels blocking it so just broken i'd say but no doubt its replacment is imminent

Does the hospital still look like that in 2021 ?

I filmed a otis lift at Covent Garden station going from platforms to street levels.

Really it is the hospital choose to modify the lift to do

the ns button normally only work with a key or code

On the 1st modded otis lift why didnt they used original otis buttons instead of dewhurst? On the 2nd modded otis lift why didnt they put kss fixtures instead of crap dewhurst? The glass lift indicator is otis and the buttons are stannah thats kind of unusual

The 80's lift is really a 90's lift or the indicator was replaced.

I liked how back then there were no American fixtures and Euro fixtures etc, Otis just gave everyone the same ones. Why can't it be like that now?

The paternoster is turned off forever. They will not turn it back on ever again.

You won't like what I'm about to tell you....but Evil Owl has been here and Generics are now modernizing/replacing these lifts....seems to be part of all the upgrades they're doing to this place. I would send a photo, but RU-vid has stopped allowing links in comments.....I'll message you with the pic.

all the same parts are easier to repair too.
