The Lobster Elite Liberty is my top pick as far as tennis ball machines are concerned. Not only do I think it's the best tennis ball machine for the price (under $1000), I think it's better than some machines that I've seen priced over $1,500. What I like about this machine is that it's compact, quiet, reliable and does everything I need it to do. A tennis ball machine (and a coach) is the single best way to improve your tennis game. The machine will feed you the ball anywhere you want it, at the speed you want and the time you want. It's the perfect tennis hitting partner. The Lobster Elite Liberty is capable of shooting out balls at 80 mph, can oscillate side-to-side and can be fitted with a remote control. You can practice every stroke in the book with this tennis ball machine, including forehands, backhands, overheads, volleys, etc. If you are thinking about buying a ball machine and are uncertain of which one to get, look no further. I've had my machine for two years and never had a single issue with it. It holds 150 balls, charges in hours and one battery charge can give me 2.5 hours of play easy. The average ATP Forehand Hard hitting is 110 MPH. Compare ATP Challenger 87-98 MPH. The average forehand speed 4.0 - 5.5 consisted (during neutral rallies) was 46.1 MPH. Hi Chad, I'm curious - does this machine actually go to 80 miles/hr speed or just 70 m/h? If it uses the same server motors and wheels as the Elite 1-3 I would think 80, but lobster customer service told me it only goes to 70. It is listed as 70 and 80 even on lobster website. How fast does it really go on flat without any top/backspin? Curious because I'm trying to decide between liberty and elite one for the extra 10miles/hr speed. My concern is that I just don't want it too slow with 2 to 3+ topspin. Thanks.

The website is still wrong. I just told them today. The Liberty is 70mph. The One and above are 80.

You can just put it under the front of the machine.
