Usually by the time you get tetra and makara, the enemies have if shield then almighty scripts. I have no idea why the reaper isn't doing that, as that is how it was programmed in the past.
@@secretbunnyninjaMy guess is that Divine Intervention counts as a separate skill alltogether which goes under the reaper's almighty spam radar. Not sure if Elizabeth ignores it too, though it may be a moot point anyways since she's gonna spam Megidolaon regardless as you're brought a teammate
0:13 I find it motivating, but also sad that Ken says "I WON'T LET ANYONE ELSE DIE!" because it means that he's learned that if others are going to protect him and take care of him, he has to do the same for them, which is why it feels motivating. The reason it's sad though, is because he likely still, at least partially, blames himself for Shinjiro's death.

i had a similar experience the first time I beat him with The Reaper wrecking himself from half health with Akasha Arts. there are several OP theurgies in this game but really there are so many fights where Ken's in particular just breaks everything.
Ever since I unlocked that Theurgy for him was also around the time where I found out that Junpei & Ken's later level-up skill unlocks were buffed too, and I had to genuinely consider changing who I focused on leveling up for the final fight.. because in the original, I pulled a no-brainer & went with the most powerful.. Aigis, Akihiko & Yukari. I think I'd drop Aigis since you're unable to spam Orgia mode anymore, and how her party wide buffs are easier found through item format than the ones that decrease enemy stats.
Eh I feel you gotta have aigis. Physical is so strong and her characteristic Amps it, that along with crit junpei u basically shit on every normal battle lol

when I beat the reaper I had ken with an item that gave him higth counter, i had only ken and mc alive, the reaper hit him with a dark move and with the 1 more went with a physical move to knock him out only to kill himself with the counter
Every time I attempted this fight with Ken in the party, the Reaper focused him and he just died instantly. I swapped him with Yukari and it was so much easier. Still tough though.
OH, I think I get it. Assuming it's not an oversight, which it might be, the game didn't want to punish you for using the theurgy that revives everyone when you're very likely to lose people fighting the reaper. As that's far less of an exploit and more of an "I need to do this to survive" tactic.
You haven't seen his first Theurgy, it's literally Gate of Babylon. Can't believe everyone is being ousted by a 10 year old with potential FBI monitoring due to being in a relationship with a high schooler alternate personification of death (Kotone)
Best one is Cendrillion for slash driver/amp/boost, Crit amp/boost, apt pupil, and multi target boost to buff the Scarlet Havoc Theurgy to ridiculous levels
I finished the game and never managed to hit those 50% health damage light&dark magic. Tried like 5 times and never worked , do they have some special fx ?

They game him light based moves that don't suck, heat riser, and the barrier skills. Plus as shown here, he has a special move that full party revives, heals, and sets up both barriers. Ken and Koromaru got huge glow ups this game.
Light and dark skills can actually do damage in this game like in P5, so not only are Ken and Koromaru actually usable in this game, they are really good, actually.
