i was with an ironworker from local 361 for ten years..now passed away...but he was amazing...and a great ironworker..gleen edward kettle from oklahoma. he built alot of america..RIP EDDIE. XOXO
i worked with this iron worker who told me that he worked with a guy that had a pitbull that would walk the steel. he said the dog was mean as hell and no one would touch him but he would follow his owner around anywhere he went...dude said the dog always had this crazy ass look in eyes
What is still found most astonishing is how they coordinate all the people to build these high rise buildings...everyone knows what he´s doing, yet the construction itself seems very complicated and advanced to me.

I tried to get the crane operator to let me ride the ball of the crane but he would let me do it. my karate teacher did iron work in NYC and told me they did it all the time but around here that shit wont fly. my karate teacher told me it was the quickest way to get guys were they needed to be to work....
