If you want to get acquainted with the local culture, then whatever country you are in, go to the places where the locals eat. There you will see the real flavor without the tourist decorations. But an inexperienced tourist may face difficulties - the local cuisine, especially if it is an eastern country, may turn out to be too spicy for a western tourist. Therefore, I decided to make a new video, where I tell you and show what they can offer you in local cafes, how much it costs (we all understand that they will want to take a double or triple price from the real cost), what any tourist can try and what is suitable only for those who are used to eat spicy food. I would also like to mention one more important point - hygiene, here in Sri Lanka, things are very good with it like for an Asian country. Visiting a local cafe, a newly arrived tourist might be a little scared looking at simple local places. But Sri Lanka is a very clean Asian country. For 14 months of my stay here, I have never gotten sick because of the food - and have eaten there quite often. To find out about everything else - whatch this video!
