This is an FM bandscan taken October 26, 2015 in New York City's Central Park, and October 27 from North Massapequa, NY. It is posted here for nonprofit educational purposes only.

Love this scan. I noticed a good few Spanish stations in NYC as well. Some of these stations I even recognizer. Great job. Always wanted an HD radio, but it would be a waste here in WV as there are nearly no HD stations in the state.

Oh HD Radio. More better than DAB, it should be introduced in Europe too.

I think those first two replies were just spam comments (usually coming with a possibly fake "It really worked" comment pretending to be from another person). I saw them on many RU-vid videos and comments, though.

Some good stations. I stay away from top 40 stations because I listened to them all my life and recently 2015ish is when they turned to playing crap. I now like the classic hits stations, 80s, 90s, 2000s and some 2010s. Like the station playing the police song. Also can that radio record what's on the radio?

5:11 94.7 WNSH flipped to Classic Hip-Hop WXBK last month. Country seems to have moved to HD2.

I think you only missed the Big 3 Pop stations in Long Island, 97.5 WALK-FM, 101.7 The Beach (WBEA-FM) and 106.1 WBLI-FM. My personal favorite is BLI.

I’m not sure you can pick up Long Island radio stations in New York City proper at least even if you could I think it would be a pretty weak signal

You are missing 106.1 WBLI because you are next to the transmitter and it's can still be reached from where you are in Nassau County. Have a family friend of mine listen to it every day from exit 63 Selden Interstate 495.

88.7 FM is WRHU in Long Island particularly Nassau County the flagship radio station for the New York Islanders

WNSH’s format got flipped Friday by Audacy it’s now 94.7 the block New York’s #1 for throwbacks it’s R&B now and New York’s Country 94.7 is on HD-2 CBS sports radio got moved to WFAN-FM HD-2

WNYZ if you stay there for too long you will run cross some HLKA Songs because that is the Korean radio for New York City
