In today’s RU-vid video will be talking about one of the most unique and favorite plates 🍱 in Oaxaca! The famous tlayuda Oaxaquena! This is a must try food when coming to Oaxaca, or Puerto Escondido!
The Tlayuda is made out of a special corn tortilla name tlayuda. This is a large round tortilla that is cooked on a comal and it tends to get moisted and when dried the tortilla has a cruncy and elastic taste. By the way, this is just the tortillaa.
The Tlayuda itself is soo much more than a tortilla! It’s made with multiple ingredients as you will see in the video!
Now don’t get confused, but the tortilla by itself is called a tlayuda and when that tortilla is prepared like the one in the video/picture, it’s still called a tlayuda! 😂
