I guess i'm just to bad. Everytime i surf it feels great, when i see the footage it's like wtf, where is all the sick stuff i have done and the big waves i have ridden😂

I spent 5 years surfing that same beach break at Huntington Pier nearly daily during my college years. Good times! It’s a pretty consistent spot, but perhaps a little overcrowded sometimes
@@assassin7250 It depends on the day. In general, yes, most days there are around waist high sets, but don’t go out there if the surf is shoulder high or bigger until you get some experience, and try to find a spot that’s not too crowded. The beach break there is well over a mile long, so you don’t have to surf right next to the pier to get good waves. Just find somewhere not too crowded, then pay attention to your left and right if you start to paddle for an incoming wave. If you think someone with experience is taking the wave, it’s best for you to back off of it to avoid accidentally crashing. Eventually you’ll have the experience necessary to tandem ride the same wave and keep your distance from the other rider because you’ll know how to keep your speed up. There’s a huge advantage in learning to surf at a beach break rather than a rock or reef break, you’re far less likely to get hurt. Just be more careful if it’s low tide, the waves finish out in pretty shallow waters at HB during low tide. Have fun!
@@3louminati yeah, I used to love that area too, but you can always go up to seal beach if you’re over there, just be careful where you’re stepping on your walk out to deep enough water to start paddling, I’ve stepped on rays and nearly gotten tail slashed so many times there 😂😂😂
Old school surfers could give a $hit about being photographed surfing or mounting cameras on their board. My my the vanity of Gen Z....it's like the gym influencer. Lol😊
