The new fishing TV show Local Knowledge kicks off with the debut episode, Key West Coast Style, and follows hosts and avid anglers Captain Ali Hussainy and Capt. Rush Maltz. Each is an expert on their home turf, but the adventure begins as they explore the opposite coast’s fishing and lifestyle and endure some good-natured ribbing. The show focuses on the adventure, people, food, and the culture of fishing itself in San Diego, California and Key West, Florida.

Good stuff..The west coast does not get the notoriety of Keys and all of that. I think we have to work a bit harder for our fish and the water is definitely different. I enjoyed the show.sign me up.........I have Local Knowledge.......

Too bad there was pretty much no iron fishing in this episode. I'm a fan of the show now, but was really looking for a full episode on SD Iron fishing and half the show was Florida fishing and only one of two yellows caught were on the iron.

In this episode we were fishing a mix of mostly custom rods. Now were are fishing the new Penn Carnage II rods and loving them.

Floridians use spinning reels because they have no big tuna over there. A big bluefin or yellowfin will destroy most guys in spinning gear.

That's almost correct. There's a few that escaped a fish farm in Panama and I guess are doing quiet well in the pacific. Crazy but true! Thanks for watching.
