From Bongao's markets to the peaceful life on Simunul, we explore all sides of life here. First it's an evening on the busy streets of Tawi-Tawi's capital, then the next day, a change of plans - taking a local boat (lantsa) an hour away to Simunul.
Famous as where Sheikh Makhdum built his first mosque in the Philippines in 1380 (though the Philippines didn't exist yet!), this island has so much more - a great selection of local life.

I grew up in the visayas region and always wonder what is really there in TawiTawi. Now, Im learning a lot from you guys. Amazing work brother! One amazing thing about the Philippines is even though many make very little money, they have a place to sleep, family to love and laughter in their hearts. Unlike my American friends. When without money lose friends, family, begin to hate rather than love. Tragically leading to insanity and suicide.
