you guys are the best. with this type of journalism, you are educating all of us. We as Tanzanians can't afford to go around like that. We know and met the people from all tribes as we mix around in big cities like Dar, Arusha, Mwanza, etc but we never physically been to their regions, and mostly their villages. You are guys are taking us there. Nice.

You feed the cows from the Banana stems and then you get organic manure from cow poop for the banana, flowers and all the plants. You even get gas for cooking .Cow shit should be respected. Cows give you meat, milk ,gas, and Leather etc

The banana stems are just a by product not the main fodder for the cows. There must be a source of more sustainable fodder such as pasture grass, hay or corn silage either on the farm or sourced externally.

I’m happy someone invested in biogas. As a child I saw this introduced by Germans back in the 80’s under GTZ project, and as always the government never invested on it.

The biogas system was taught in our elementary school curriculum (that was In the 80s) in Zimbabwe but I have never seen it in operation.

As a west African living in New York. I was stopped one day by a Jamaican guy, and he asked my friend and I why in Africa someone had a lot of the cows and goats and we are hungry their? Mind you we didn’t knw this man. I was very shocked by his ignorance and I was speechless.

We use cow,s dung as fertilizer in Jamaica too to grow our foods we haven't lost our Africaness either❤️❤️❤️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 we don't need colonizers to tell us how to grow our foods we been growing our foods for thousands of years since Africa

Biogas is not something new. May be new to you. Forty years ago, I saw a project in Kacyiru /Kigali where the used biogas from cow for lighting or provide lights and cooking. It is not African invention at all. Google it.

All I know we can do it also in Africa, therefore we take credit for it and teach our children and unborn children how it’s made instead of telling them that is an invention of the whiteman.

Growing up on the edge of the Nandi Forest (about 100 km NE of Kisumu, Kenya) we used to have these stingless bees make their hives in the ground or besides the buttress roots of large trees. These bees seem to have disappeared completely perhaps because of toxic agricultural chemicals. Where did the Arusha lady get these bees?
