The 12 year old is the only Loch Lomond expression I've tried. For $39 here in SoCal, you get a 46% flavorful single malt with a little bit of Islay and a little bit of Campbeltown funk in it. That's a wonderful combination. 🥃👍
The same mind f*** occurs with the “spiced apple and soft smoke” statement on the bottle while I mostly taste grapefruit lemon and oranges (reminds me of Hazelburn 10yo)
Tried the 12 and the 18. I cannot get this whiskey yet. Flavors are a bit all over the place. I try but can’t. Perhaps we need to wait fee years to give them time to organize their expressions
The caramel colouring is also very annoying because it looks like a whisky matured in ex sherry casks but it tastes like matured in ex bourbon casks so it’s a bit of a mind f***
