Glad it was helpful! Many websites are now allowing those to be used as the primary form so with the bio you said it's a primary and your fingerprint access the 2fa hence no remembering any password at all. What got you interested in these products

I have a YubiKey USB-A that I lost it once in an exit lane in a high-volume parking lot. I found it the following day and I could tell it's been run over several times. Luckily it still works.

Yeah they do take a looking and keep on ticking! I can't tell you how many times I've dropped it in the sand at the beach or how many washing machine cycles it's been through LOL

You really should because it's getting really scary out there as I said I have one which is the micro one that just stays in my computer so it's not this long thing sticking out the side it's just a little tiny nub on the side of my computer that I just tap whenever I need to I keep the larger one with me on my person in case I need to access a computer while I'm out and about

I don't think so because of the form factor it would be really tough to fit a fingerprint reader into a micro version but we can only hope.

How do you even backup a BIO key with another BIO key that has no TOTP?

I did a video on change the code inside and how to save it. If you dont want to do that I keep both keys at my desk on days that I any doing a lot and add both keys to the account at the same time. Do you have a Yubiey BIO?

@@TheHiTechNomad So you mean to 1 BIO key & 1 older version yubikey. I'm deciding to buy between a BIO & older versions of Yubikey.

@@JESUSvsDEMONS I have multiple BIO keys. The websites that provides an option to add 2 BIO keys are good but the websites where only 1 BIO key can be added, I can't find a way to backup that account with another BIO key

What are the pitfalls of 2FA?

The most common two factor authentications send a code to either your email or your phone and it's super easy to intercept either one of those.

Losing your key and getting locked out of accounts. Buy 2, keep one in a safe place like your home safe, as a back up. You can't clone the keys but when you set up an account on a website, register both keys.

I had a 5 month bout with hackers and malware on all my apple devices, and it was 2 factor and yubikeys that saved me from losing any money to the hackers. Even accounts they got my passwords on.

Wow... You certainly are the poster person for why you need to use a security key I'm glad it worked out for you and I hope that you continue to spread the good word! Some people have two keys to make sure that they have a backup how many keys do you use?

I have 6 Gmail accounts i use 3 on each account. A Yubico, Titan, and Feitian.....Thanx i love your channel....You think i should buy a bio too???

Thank you for the kind words if you are not using one time password through NFC then I would definitely say get the bio it's just another level of security and it also looks pretty cool to use...
