G'day Legends, this week I head out on a reef fishing adventure with the crew from Wilson Fishing aboard Big Cat Reality for a liveaboard trip out to the Bunker Group. Although the weather didn't play the game we still managed to get stuck into some epic reef fish using a range of different techniques! It was the kind of trip dreams are made of! Hope you enjoy the action!

Hi there :-) Got a quick question pls.. Im gonna rig up a trolling rod for aj. Ill be trolling in not more than 110 meters of sea and ambers should be roughly 20/25kg max. I got 400 meters of 50lbs braid. Would that be stong enough? And enough length? Or should i add more to that?

Thanks mate love your work! We are heading out on the Big Cat on Saturday for the week, weather is not looking promising but there will be plenty of tins and good times. All the boys are pumped, and we absolutely love the videos and all the banter along with them! @elsongreg @jtturn3r

Fun fact the Remora are pretty damn tasty just not too much meat on them and can be tricky to fillet, trick is to stick their head to the cutting board

id probably avoid extremely large ones for the same reason as avoiding large trout etc and only take one to try as the time investment is only worth it the one time to try it

Max Gosden Thanks mate! Not as much as you would think hey. Fish then vertically and you can flick them off most hang ups. We started fishing them on 50lb braid and 50lb leader and found we could pull them off most of the time 👌👌

Those Venom rods are bloody tough things , used them on a GT charter and I must have hit the Bimini about ten times on a full throttle cast . You would think you would stop doing it after the first couple of times...
