Hi, Great question! Your kicking technique should’nt be too much different , try and make it the be the same for all types of kicks , long or short. The only things that should change would be how you strike the ball ( I.e side foot or laces ) and positioning over the ball ( i.e leaning back for height ). In terms of what you should change to effect the angle of a kick out; A low direct kick : shoulders and kicking knee should be over the ball, strike with laces Higher longer ball : straight leg kick, shoulders straight up.
