Here’s some tips from what I’ve watched of other people playing too: When you call out to him you wait till he comes in the room and sees you WHILE you’re getting in the wardrobe if you want to lock him in the room , he’s going to check the bathroom after he sees the wardrobe ,he didn’t leave the room yet , you run out the wardrobe and lock the door and he’s locked in. Basement or I think it’s called ground floor is safe he can’t come down there. You can lock him in if you get one if those types of keys. You might’ve known most of this but my damn insides were itching to say what I know. The stairwell is a safe place as well as the basement (or if it’s called ground floor , that place) Also in lit rooms you have to hide in the wardrobe not the bathroom , in dark rooms the bathroom Also when it says making connections with replies , make your questions and replies make sense and make them connect or I think they get irritated and go quiet (Correct me if I’m wrong or add more tips in the comments)

You can lock Jimmy in a hotel room by hiding in the closet when Jimmy's coming into the room. When you hear the door rattling you should face the closet and wait a little before entering it so Jimmy actually sees you enter the closet. Chances are high that Jimmy then hides in the bathroom to surprise you instead of leaving the room. If the icon in the bottom-right corner is still red when leaving the closet, it means Jimmy must be hiding in the bathroom. In this case, you must quickly leave the room without turning around. Then you can lock the room if you have the respecitve deadlock key to that room and lock Jimmy inside. Jimmy will try to twist the doorknob for about 25 seconds before managing to leave by picking the lock.

Some tips since I watched so many other gamers play this game. - When Jimmy is in a room that you're hiding in and you hide in the closet, listen for any footsteps or taunting. If there are none, he could be hiding in the bathroom in the room you're in. - The ground floor, basement, and staircase are safe from Jimmy - Never hide in a dark room, it's only bathrooms in those rooms and you can't hide in the closets. - Jimmy can actually get you in the storeroom unless you have the key, but it's not recommended to hide in there due to you going to have to rely on sound to see where he goes since the storeroom doesn't have a peephole. - It does take time for Jimmy to get to the floor you're on, so use your time wisely

Ground floor and first floor are safe zones. Use the deadlock keys by luring him into the room with the key. Hide in the bathroom and when he passes leave and lock the door behind you it will buy you a few minutes. If your stuck and need directions use the mirror. that's all I can say without spoiling the game. Edit: quick tip if you hear any voices besides the guy hunting you down head towards it they lead to clues
