I can't help it, I really liked him. Maybe in series 3 we will find out he never cared for her at all but for now I believe he started after her fortune but really fell for her in the end
I was disappointed (although not entirely surprised) to find out that he was trying to betray poor Georgiana. It may turn out that he did actually begin to have real feelings for her. However, I was also not happy to see, that, once again, an artist was stereotypically portrayed as hedonistic and outrageous. Many artists are rebels in the sense that they don't wish to subscribe to the morals of their times and see the world in a unique way. However, it would be nice, just once, to see them portrayed as hard-working and original thinkers, that see the beauty as well as the sorrow in the world and give us works that enhance our understanding of life. Despite that, he was a character to remember and it will be interesting to see if he returns.
No, it was a surprise, not obvious! I thought Lockhart was a fun, rebellious artsy guy. I was just suspicious when he was buttering up Arthur. And another surprise, he’s Georgiana’s cousin! I wished the Parkers told Lockhart that he was indirectly responsible for Sidney’s death. I love the Billie Eilish song! Thanks Livie E!!!

Lockhart didn’t run when Georgiana tried to freeze him out; that should’ve been my first hint. Almost in her face then backing up; almost like a dance. I’m hoping Charles can redeem himself next season; I think he was really starting to fall for Georgiana.
