@@LongIslandMopars He could well have been an ace pilot, but I think in that situation , they couldn't see where they were going, and just ran into fairly level ground covered in soft vegetation.

@@NathansMoparGarage I am very fortunate to have them. My parents and I were very close. They are gone many years now and memories like these plus the Coronet are my lasting connection to them. The Coronet keeps company in the garage with my Charger.

​@@LongIslandMoparsI've got a big box full of old family photos, they're precious, but I dont look at them very often ,it can get a bit emotional. Is the Coronet you speak of the old family car? which model?

@@barrycuda3769 I hear you bud. I was very close to my parents. They bought the Coronet brand new in September 1966 as a leftover on the dealer lot (67 models were already coming in). Mom loves the dark turquoise color and so they bought it. It was the only new car my dad ever owned and he drove it for 30 years until he retired. Then he used it on occasion until he passed and I brought it home to me where I am now it's caretaker. It's just a little 273 2bbl that I rebuilt to stock specs.
