Just like the Mk2 Carbine in 2019, in the right hands, this can absolutely be devastating against enemies. But I think the one thing I really like about this gun is it can teach someone to get better target acquisition by aiming for the head with this gun. I think it's a ton of fun to use and I use it as part of an aggressive build.
@@BetaCuckAlpha The 2019 carbine has a one shot range of 20 meters so this one is technically better. But with the faster overall ttk of many weapons and just how busted the SA-B is it does kinda fall behind
Absolutely! I just maxed this weapon out and I had a ton of fun with it! I even set up a cowboy class complete with the Basilisk and throwing knives along with the tracker perk. Makes you feel like a true frontiersman in a modern combat setting!
Not even a hit marker machine, unlike NW2019 one this one still deals acceptable damage on the body too I prefer it over the others because it suits my fast paced playstyle better, it shoots fast, aims fast, its handling is good and you can actually strafe with it
Xclusive Ace is vital to completely understanding this game, they should really bring back the in game stats that show what ADS, Sprint, recoil etcetera is
I want to say that the slower, accurate rechambering attachments also allow you to rechamber in a quieter fashion. I don't think it matters much though. Maybe in DMZ when close to enemies that don't know where you are.
A hitmarker machine in Core, but I bet this thing will be very fun for use in Hardcore! Just need to wait another 2 weeks for IW to add a mode that should have been present at launch.
As a fairly casual CoD fan (been playing since I was a kid but only dip into the series every few years now), your videos are an AMAZING resource. I love the gunsmith system overall, but it added so much complexity, and these videos help me feel more confident in my choices and gameplay
Honestly, I went into this gun thinking I was going to hate it. And I did, until I unlocked a few attachments for it. Honestly, then it was so fun to use. those 29 levels went way quicker than I expected and I plan go go back to it once I finish leveling the rest of guns.
for the canted build, I'd recommend putting either the fss sharkfin and tuning for walk speed or putting APR and tuning for free damage range and velocity instead of the longhorn, since recoil doesn't matter on single-shot weapons and I find the fire rate boost from the longhorn to not matter all that much.
After watching John wick 4, I created a Mr Nobody class with this rifle paired with the Basilisk Revolver emphasizing speed and mobility and to my great surprise, it’s actually somewhat useable and so much fun to use
This is my go to gun in the game. It may be a hit marker machine but once you figure out how to aim high always. You’re cheesing the lobby and it’s SOOO satisfying. I’m a huge Mk2 Stan
My favorite gun in this game! Just because of the look, the bullets it uses are SO OLD, that ammo has existed for so long. Very cool looking gun and fun to use when it doesn't hitmark super hard...
For me personally the 2nd build really reminds me of a model 1887 if you could theoretically put slug rounds into it because as far as I'm aware we have not had a game where you could put slug rounds in the m1887 and honestly building the MK2 this way is so much fun
The unique characteristic (among MRs) I love about this gun is the reload mechanism. So often you can top yourself off from the second or two idle pauses in battles. You can also stop your reloading and immediately fire with what you have loaded.
It sad to see how far this gun has fallen from MW19. It used to be what the SA-B is now, but with half the ads time. It was so OP and I loved it. Now it's actually balanced correctly. :(
Its the most fun gun in the game, hands down, I will not be taking any questions Just the other day, I got 4 kills each within about 1 second of each other, TWICE within like an hour
Here's a build you can try out and it's absolutely insane. Buffalo barrel, vlk Lazer 7me, SZ vortex 90, overpressured rounds and the Lockwood commando guard. Tune the barrel for recoil steadiness and damage range, tune the laser for aim walking steadiness and ADS speed, tune the optic for ADS speed and close for eye position, tune the rounds for damage range and bullet velocity and tune the guard for aim walking steadiness and recoil steadiness. It creates a fast ADS consistent one shot at most ranges and allows a little bit of range with the 5x scope you get with holo sight cause it's a hybrid. It's meant for close to mid range aggressive sniping.
This is part of why I like Hardcore, I get to use single shot weapons like this more effectively without being punished by hitting somebody in the shoulder from the side, and it's so satisfying to really nail somebody with a clutch shot.
If you're having trouble with the Lockwood Mk2 (or any of the MRs for that matter), just take them into Tier 1. The Mk2 is a guaranteed one-shot kill in Tier 1, no matter the range or the body part hit.
I had a blast with this gun. I was surprised how quick I unlocked the camos for this gun, this is my favorite gun. But yes, if you are not accurate, you are doomed haha.
I absolutely love this gun. I do super well with it even though it’s not the most consistent. Make it ADS as fast as possible and it’s a beast. It’s a better shotgun than half the shotguns in this game. Going for longshots isn’t super fun though.
As someone who only snipes, this is my reg gun for when it's sweaty. Kit it for max ads but don't use a barrel to save on range and velocity, and the f delta scope 5.5x. Lockwood mk2 is the king of run and gun.
the moment I noticed you could customize the MK2 to look like the model 1886 like, literally, to a TEE, I screamed out 'WHERE IS THE AKIMBO MOD?!?!' - like for real, they have the model in the game clearly; all they have to do is add akimbo/buckshot into the same attachment slot and MANY OG MW2 fans will scream with joy
There aren't many games that would feature a classic Lever action gun. Whether it's an original model or a modernized model after its predecessors. And I love it so much.
Love using this gun, mainly cause I love Marlin's IRL. with a mouse and aggressive flanking the 2 shot kill isn't that big a deal. Either way I use "frangibles" (they're more modeled off CNC turned solid copper rounds) to be extra annoying if they survive!
This gun is insanely good if you've got good aim, no other gun even comes close for quick scoping. My bro had 80k kills with the mk2 carbine in mw19 and he's still dropping quads and feeds like they're nothing in MWII👍
I actually like the mk2. As long as you can hit the 1 shot kill areas it is by far the best sniper for quick scoping. It's just so stupidly fast if built right. Grinding the mk2 was by far the most fun I've had playing MWII I literally build it with the cut off stock the shortest barrel the ads lazer a scope and the rechamber speed lever. Literally built to go fast in everything. Never have I been happier with a title to an Xclusive Ace video because that is EXACTLY what this super frustrating gun is. Although I will admit using it has really helped improve my aim. Those first few matches though....oof.

I would love for this gun to get the ever tiniest little buff, just something to nudge it over the fence. Just a little less vertical recoil per shot and it would be golden, it’s my favorite gun in the game but it loses to almost everything in a face to face fight
I just finished gold for this thing two weeks ago and it was the most fun, "you're such an asshole" etc, etc, guns to date in MW2. I absolutely love this gun. it's the definition of high risk high reward. If you miss that sweetspot, you're mostly fucked, but I've gotten some clean 4 feeds with this thing. throw a canted laser, remove the stock, and have some fun!
The only reason why I went with this gun is because I wanted to do an old western theme'd build. Little did I know that I was in for a one hit wonder of a ride with this thing. This gun is powerful. But again, I'm only going to use it for an old western theme'd build, with a sniper scope. I especially plan to pair this with the Basilisk since it's the only revolver in the game so far. Get that akimbo and I basically made Erron Black from Mortal Kombat.
its one of the few guns you can reload cancel naturally and not get punished for it. YY, or tirangle for PS in mid reload after loading even one bullet and you are good to go. I also recommend using this gun to practice centering and targeting online.
I swear to god my Lockwood MK2 has a one hit kill potential to the entire body (except arms and legs). I experimented with this build in the shooting range and I can kill the second dummy with one hit, even if I shoot it in the crotch. It also translates to regular matches. I always aim center mass and I am able to get one shots pretty consistently, when I'm nowhere near the head or upper torso
A slug shotgun with way better accuracy. It might allow for a kill or sometimes a OHK outside a the normal Max Damage range, but you really have to pray the shots land.

It's my favourite single fire gun by far. It's so fun to use. You can dominate on small maps like shipment. I just build the fastest ADS class I can. I avoid the canted laser though as it's not my thing.
I just started playing MW 2 on PC and there are a surprising number of people running around with this gun rushing around getting one shot kills like crazy. Lol it's hard to be on the other side of these guns with a skilled player behind it.
Same here my dude. I usually stay away from any kind of rifles but damn this one feels goooood. It's really helping me learn to snipe better with actual sniper rifles.
@@Aegis4521 A marksman rifle with a near 20m OHK damage range before you basically need a head shot to OHK. Shortest range of the rechambered-round variants. I see that as fair trade off. It doesn't defeat any purpose. You still need to hit a headshot outside of that 20m-ish range. Hipfire is also in the worst of the category. They could also increase hipfrie spread making it the absolute worst in category.
I like this gun a whole lot, but I like to build more toward Hard scoping with Aiming Stability to reduce the sway while aiming and some sort of adjustable zoom or hybrid optic so I can have a nice sight picture at multiple ranges when I need it. I came from playing Destiny 2 a lot and I appreciate how rock-steady aiming is with guns in that game, so I want my guns to feel close to that. That 21 inch Coyote Barrel is the one I like because you can shoot deeper into the mag without incurring that reload penalty when going on empty, and often times I only top off one or two shots before engaging again because that's all you need to take someone down. Also, it's a crime to not use this thing alongside the revolver unless you run overkill with the Double Barrel shotgun
Well this is actually my most used gun , i was using it a lot on shipment and i got a 1.75 KD and 2k kills with it , yeah i did got a shit ton of hitmarkers but the time it takes to aim and shoot is so damn fast that imo it's worth it + i learned how to always aim a lil bit above the chest ... Also for some weird reason it seems like aim assist is strong af on this gun i was never that good at sniping and as soon as i started using this thing i was literally hitting all of my shots
Bcuz the maxuim range in shipment is 35m, and with a suppressor and 25" you can always get a 1 shot kill to upper torso. The comments say you need accuracy, but actually you need to not challenge people out of your first damage range. Hitting headshots over 50% of rounds fired isn't being accurate, it's either reverse boosting or cheating.
I have like a 3-1 KDR with the Lockwood and it has the most kills for me 😂 just started using the SBR and that ADS and movement speed is killing me .... literally 😂
I was able to make a build that isn't too slow, and also still gets more... Consistent? One shots. No matter what tho, it's more than likely gonna need a follow up shot to kill. That's why the faster lever is absolutely NECESSARY on this gun
Idk if I played before a nerf or if this even got nerfed but I had a lot of fun with this gun. I haven’t played since before Christmas tho. Every year seems like I get bored faster and faster and this year I only lasted a couple months. Idk if I’ll play this game again. Haven’t played anything and had fun in a long time.
