Nice bro! Doing a boil tomorrow! First time I've kept the bugs for more than a day. Got 'em on Friday morning,(I am in Austin) boils is Sunday. Ice on bottom, separated by a towel, Ice on top, separated by a smaller towel. I hope the survivors are enough to feed the family!
Great videos, especially the duck camp, and Breeo Fire Pit Cookers. You need to dump the LoCo cookers and get you a High Performance Cooker, boils cold water in 10 minutes. Back to a boil in 2 minutes after adding full sack to pot. Also made in the USA!!
great tip on using minced garlic with panty hose... will do that next time. but after i've developed all those flavors, i'm NOT adding ice to dilute my soaking water. instead, i just add more corn instead of ice.
A great tip; use boil bags to separate your items. It keeps the ingredients separate from the fixings and helps to keep the crawfish clean. I'll separate sausage, mushrooms, potatoes and corn into separate containers then my crawfish into a cooler.
