Due to to work and other commitments, I partially forgot to upload this one, so apologies as this is a few weeks late.
This "tour" was a private charter for the boss of LSL, Jeremy Hoskins, a 6 day stint in the South West of England. Day 1 was steam hauled to Carmarthen but was foiled by trespassers and the loco suffered a failure that ruled it out of action for Saturday 3rd, leaving 20107 to soldier on alone to Newport after running several hours late.
After arrival at Newport, the 20 was replaced by the 2 37s and went to Bristol for the night. Day 3 saw the train head to Penzance and is seen here passing Bedminster on full power.
Days 4 & 5 (5th/6th April) were spent traversing areas of the deepest parts of Devon and Cornwall. The final day saw the train head back up to Bristol, where 40145 would take over for a mammoth sprint down the Great Western Mainline to London (Euston) before finally heading to Crewe with an Intercity 90 (sadly not featured).
Certainly an interesting sight to behold and a lot of interest in this working, as normal tours are still on hold and are not likely to resume until at least End of May/mid June 2021 at the time of writing.
Hope you like the videos that i have been uploading recently... I would be very appreciative if you could leave a message to show that you enjoyed this video... Thanks
