I actually took out my first set of locks. After that I had no doubt how serious locks are. I literally felt like a part of me had died...It was horrible! I was thinking what have I done to myself, my life source was weakened in those moments. I'm 3 years in on the second set if locks..I rarely leave the house without a head wrap even with locks. Locks for me have definitely been part of my spiritual growth, inner strength and overall mental health.
I am both spiritual and religious and realized the longer my hair got, the more perceptive I felt. I told my husband that I was picking up on very negative energy and keep it in a headwrap now. When I have the wrap on, I do not feel the *spiritual attacks*. I feel beautiful, safe, and protected with it on.
I have had my locs for 37 years. My hair is my connection to the Creator who gave me this gift. I do not allow anyone to touch my hair except for children if they are curious. I never twist or roll my crown, only God is my beautician. Be Blessed.
When I let go of the “look” of locs and started really embrace what it is to have locs. My spiritual journey has been amazing and my circle started changing for the better and life has changed in a beautiful way.
TFS! My Grandmother (RIP) always taught us to be mindful of the hands/energy we allow in our hair because our hair is our Strength so this connects with me so much. If someone doesn't understand/appreciate my locs or the elements of the environment is off then such is not meant for me, so I've been protected from the negative. I've been on my microlocs journey for 21 months now and I've never felt so in tune and spiritually connected to myself/hair💜 it's just an Amazing journey.
Ase I feel you I don’t let anyone in my hair I’ve been locked in for four years I’ve noticed that I don’t care to be around anyone that’s not on my spiritual journey lol lol I allow my girls to touch my hair and that’s it 🤷🏾♀️❤❤❤ I love my locs
I definitely wear my locs as a shield. Whennever I am getting home late and feel a typa way, I wear my locs down. I know I am protected. Also there was a priest at school who ask me to cut my hair to have access to class after a whole year of interacting with. I knew he was scarec because you cant unsee Medusa in me lol.

Would be 6 years cause I started mine in the spring but I definitely felt some spiritual protection I notice that I didn’t want to do thing has I did before in wanting to shield my identity or cover up to what Man says what is beauty I felt more beautiful going out my house with my locs undone and no makeup then when I use to have my hair out
I’m sure there will be many people who agree or will share their similar experiences; however, I don’t have the same experiences. While I believe having locs may make some people feel protected and are a part of a spiritual journey, that has not been my experience with either sets I’ve had. I don’t feel my locs protect me from energies simply because I do not have a spiritual connection with them. I dont even know if I’d consider myself to be a spiritual person overall. I’m also not one of those people who started my journey for aesthetic purposes. I started my loc journey because I wanted them. That’s it. I no longer wanted loose natural hair. I understand and appreciate (some more than others) the different reasons people choose to start locs, but for me, my journey has nothing to do with spirituality. I will say I am in a “coming of age” phase in my life where I am learning who I really am, inside and out so my feelings may change in the future. **I know how some of you all like to tussle, so please be respectful of my feelings and opinions if they differ from yours 😊**
Sweetie, some persons undergo spirituality without them being consciously aware of it. The fact that you wanted to start knowing more about who truly are is a spiritual journey and the fact that you naturally just wanted to do locs for no reason other than being tired of loose hair actually shows you've started this spiritual journey without you being consciously aware because two things are aligning here which are the need to know yourself more and the natural desire for locs. When my spiritual journey started, I just wanted locs for no reason at all. Somehow it just felt like the natural thing to do for me. I'm not saying it will be same for all, just sharing my own experience here.
@@dastci I didn’t start them for spiritual reasons and I still do not have my locs for spiritual reasons as I’ve mentioned. My reason(s) are mine to have and mine alone, no one else’s. Please project onto someone else, because I’m not here for it.
I’m 3 years into my loc journey and it was something intuitive for me to do. I had a “rat tail” for 5 years prior (named it and everything haha) and then finally I was ready. The maturing process is real! People flowed in and out of my life ~ definitely feel protected and guided. And when I take care of my crown I feel like I’m taking care of my higher self. This is very true, I remember when I used to have locs, right after I leave a particular area, I later hear something bad or crazy happened. These things doesn't happen in my presence
Nice vid sis… I’m 4 yrs loc’d and I believe that everything is spiritual. We are spiritual beings, period. I’m not sure abt the protection bits but I’ve always felt protected in my life, with or without locs… but since you stated it, I’m going to pay more attention to my intuition on a conscious level and see what that brings. ❤
As much as it protects you, it holds and traps all harmful energy to prevent it from coming to you so it’s very important that you Cleanse the locs. Locs remind me of the black crystals, as much as they protect you and hold harmful energy, they need to be recharged and cleansed with the sun so that that heavy energy does not get to youu. Locking mine soon, I’m very excited ❤️
So im glad you made this video, i can sometimes deny my intuition then later regret it knowing i had that “gut feeling” i wasn’t always making the most appropriate decisions for myself. I replaced it and the new clasp is so hard to remove I just keep it on all of the time…for the last 3 months. Had not made the connection before. Just thought I would share. Love your content.❤

I’ve learned in my life journey that doing things in a natural way always works best for me. And my hair is no different. Not to say that natural ways don’t bring any difficulties, because it can. However, I find myself better equipped to handle any difficulties (life or hair) when I go about doing things in a natural way. It is one of the most notable patterns in my life that I feel compelled to follow. I have always had a strong intuition, and anytime I choose to ignore it or go against it, I am hurt in some way. Same with hair. Fighting my natural curl and kink, literally ripping hand fulls of hair out with detangling, just did not feel right. Now I’m 2 years into my loc journey and have never been happier with my hair or life in general 🙏🏾😊 it’s a beautiful thing!

This is very true and very real!!! I noticed that I felt much more powerful and spiritually protected when I loc’d up. I am new into the journey, so I can only imagine how things will continue to chwnge and evolve as I get further into the journey.
I am grateful Iwas sent this video. I'm in contemplation about transitioning because of my spiritual journey. I've had debate with my mom and significant other about the"look" of locs. Like it was stated in the video, I can only control me and how I show up in this world.
This was so beautiful and true. The most authentic I’ve been within me and to me has been now in my loc journey. Naturally intuitive and strongly and I knew they were antennas but to hear about how they protect me is so heart warming 😊
I had locks once as length to my breastst, but I became seriously ill for almost 5yrs. my hair then became so thin that I had to cut it off, that was in 2011 through to 2015. Since the 24th of September just this month I started my lock journey again. I can tell anybody that your hair is very spiritual , I used to had dreams of in the spirit realm where they used to taunt me about my hair, like your hair is growing too long or your hair does not look like human hair ect. If someone with a negative energy touches my hair it send goose bumps in a negative way all over my body. I would encourage everyone to love & care for their hair & try to acquire more knowledge about their!

I feel like your wrong about stands being harder to receive energy if there in dreads since afro hair I conduct more energy because it's curly like a wire,well dreads are the same as a afro just intagled and curled up 2 times more so wouldn't that mean it conducts more energy then a afro

A lot of these teachings being called "new age" is nothing more than essential teachings from Hinduism aka the Sanatan Dharma. The Hindus even taught about the power of hair and locs aka Jattas
According to spirituality a man's hair is not his crown or protection, like that of a woman. A man is meant to have short hair whether in locs or a haircut. A woman's hair is her crown and protection women must not cut their hair. You can find this information in the bible.
