LOEWE 001 Man 001 Woman First Impressions Review + Giveaway
This is my LOEWE 001 Man 001 Woman First Impressions Review video. I've been not too impressed with Loewe as a brand with their fragrances up to now when I first saw these two new Loewe 001 Man and 001 Woman fragrances. I loved the idea behind them, the packaging and design and on first sniff I did enjoy 001 Man and 001 Woman. Loewe is a Spanish clothing and accesory designer with multiple fragrances and these two are Loewe's latest fragrances.
Loewe 001 Man is like an offspring of Dior Homme line of fragrances but it's unique on it's own to justify a purchase. Since I do love the Dior Homme line of fragrances I really do love this Loewe 001 Man as it's more savory and not too sweet compared to Dior Homme. It's a bit cooler and a bit more herbal with the carrot seed note that I find very unique with Loewe 001 Man.
Loewe 001 Woman is a woody floral Oriental fragrance that's unisex enough for men to wear. Both Loewe 001 Man and Loewe 001 Woman are great new releases from a brand I do not know too much of and want to now explore the brand for any other fragrances in their collection that I'm missing.

Hi, Sebastian! I briefly sniffed the Men's 001 at Nordstrom, and certainly got the DH vibe, though as I walked around with the card, I enjoyed the differences I picked up. I didn't smell 001 For Her, as I was on a mission to smell something else. I'd love the chance to give these a further wearing. Cheers, from Portland, Oregon!

Great reviews Sebastian. I have Loewe Solo and I really enjoy the scent. It's a very different kind of summer scent because the guava note the main player in the composition. Try Solo by Loewe fragrance if you find it. California

I believe I had a bottle from that house a while back. It was an orangey citrus if I remember but quite unique. I'd like to try these new offerings because I haven't smelt them yet.

Have you tried the EDT version of this? I have it and it is lighter and way more citric. It has lime, orange flower, Ceylon cinnamon and red pepper

I own many fragrances by Loewe and I think quality in them is great, better than many other designer brands which are more popular and which I also own.

I owned solo the original (the one with the guava note) and solo platinum ( the original dna+ leather+ incense) my sister owned aura . Just keep this one thing in mind : u can never go wrong with this brand . Ps: they no longer sell the brand in my country which is really upsetting.

About to order essencia de loewe. A classic green powerhouse from 1988. It doesn't smell dated and is very unique if you want to stand out among all the sauvage and bleus out there.

Please give the solo line for men and the aura line for women(maybe quisas too) a chance Am sure you will love them . Loewe is an underestimated brand and sadly they no longer sell it in my country 😟

Not big on projection. More close to the skin than being a beast or anything but the scent is truly awesome. It's like the savory take on Dior Homme if that makes sense? 6 hours perhaps pushing 6.5 hours approximately with the 001 Man as far as performance goes! :) I think this makes a very good everyday or work type scent. Not intrusive but a great great scent!!

I'm not that familiar with Loewe outside of the RTW fashion. it was sort of a dead house until J.W. Anderson was installed as the creative director. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Anderson's work for his namesake line, but his work for Loewe is great. it has a "art gallery chic" thing about it. I would like to win the samples to understand how Anderson's aesthetics translate to fragrances. From Ohio.

solo, 7 and 001 are masterpices by loewe. its strange, but you dont show respect for this amzing handcraft house . its way above 95% of brands youtubers talk, its a shame. but its they things are. they deserver much more respect

I remember seeing this brand when I was in Spain. I love the aesthetic of the marketing for these two fragrances, very curious to see how the actual juice compares! I also didn't know it was pronounced "Lo-eh-veh"

Just got back from a trip to Cancun and I smelled these in the mall there. I really liked them but decided to wait until I got to the duty free shop in airport and they were sold out😕. So would love to win a sample. Thanks, really enjoy your reviews.

Hi Sebastian!! You didn't mentioned something really important or maybe you don't know. These fragrances were made to wear them layered!! The lady from Loewe told me this and if you look inside the samples box it says "Two accomplice fragrances in a constant conversation" and refers to the fact that these two were made to wear them together, it doesn't matter which one first. So try it and let me know, their "true beauty" happens when you wear them together. Cheers!

I have a bottle of Loewe 001 Man that I got just recently. I do like it, however it did seem Iris heavy to me , even though It's not listed in the note breakdown. I feel like it's a weaker DHI.. turns powdery on me and I just can't pick out many notes in it at all!

I just tested this yesterday at Nordstrom,all I got was a blast of iris similar to DH...interesting that there is no iris in the note composition. You are right,maybe it's the violet. Would love to add this to my collection. San Diego

Looking Feeling Smelling Great Have to revisit this again because I tested a lot of frag yesterday before I got to this. All I remembered was the blast of iris like the DH vibe that registered to my memory.I did not even notice the carrot note anymore. I probably had 8 different frags sprayed in both my arms.

Loewe 001 Woman reminds me of L'Eau D'Issey for Women - but with L'Eau's 90's excess toned down and under control. This is a clear attempt to modernize the Miyake classic and make it wearable. There is a subtle melon note here but it doesn't overwhelm like it does in the older frag. It also has the Miyake's somber florals but there's also none of L'Eau's weird artsy juxtaposing of extremely ripe and fresh fruits with the stench of funeral flowers, feces and decay that forces you and everyone within a 2 meter radius to contemplate life and death. Reserved and well-behaved. Moderate sillage. Long lasting. Actually wearable rather than an artwork you are meant to admire and analyze from afar. L'Eau D'Issey fans rejoice. Here is your L'Eau reinterpreted with late 2010's to early 2020's minimalist sensibilities in mind.
