@@SavantAudiosurf To my knowledge, Lofi Girl does partner with the song creators when using their music. They don’t just find random lofi from creators they don’t communicate with and use it in the stream. If you check their community posts, they work with the creators to upload compilations of individual albums and EPs, and then they use _those_ in the stream. If they didn’t have the legal right to do so, why would they announce that creators can use the music on the channels? Why would they have an entire page on the website dedicated on how to use the songs legally? Why would the creators constantly comment words of thanks in the comments? That’s why you’ll see repeats of songs and artists in the streams, because those are artists that work with Lofi Girl. If this was really something they didn’t have the right to do, why did it take 20,000 hours of music, well over two years, for this to happen? Before this, there was a first stream too that was taken down by copyright claims, causing the entire channel to be taken down. However, after reaching out to RU-vid, they determined that the channel was fine and reinstated _all_ of the videos. Why would they have done that if they didn’t have proper licensing, especially with how strict RU-vid copyright can be? Of course, I don’t work with any of the artists or with Lofi Girl, so if you have any more information that I’m missing, please teach me more about the subject.
