The best way to end a summer day is with the soothing sounds of nature and some relaxing music. Cicadas and frogs sing their evening songs, calling to you to slow down and enjoy the evening you deserve. Let their soft melodies wash over you and lull you into a relaxed state. Here is my attempt at fundraising. On June 4th, my brother/roommate/employer passed away. We were so busy trying to survive one day to the next that we were never able to prepare for this event. Even when we were able to save for the future, life ate away at our savings during and after the pandemic started. Now I am left here struggling to find a job that can allow me to keep the apartment that I and the furbabies (mine and his) currently live in. I felt that the end was near (but I didn't know how near) and I started my job search at the end of April. Almost two months and about 200 applications later, I have come to the sad decision that my future no longer lies here in Texas. My sister has graciously offered a spare room at her house until I am able to get back on my feet and the job market looks better in her area, but that presents the reason for fundraising. Living here I always used public transportation and no longer own a car of my own. To rent a vehicle to get myself and the furbabies, with our meager belongings, to Michigan, I need about $2500. Without a source of income, I am unable to get a loan that does not come from a predatory company with a 500% interest rate. Hence my plea for help.
