what i was astounded by when i was there was the light , the most fantastic place for its natural beauty but the light is something else , photographers, film makers dream there and so much to shoot and see there ...
You had a great campsite here with ocean views. So glad the sun came out. The hike up to Gylltinden pinnacle looked pretty sketchy but the views from the top were awesome. Thanks Jarl!
What an absolutely magical place. 360° amazing views and you documented it so very well. Thanks, as always, for allowing us to hitch a ride, Jarl. Totally awesome. ♥
What a stunning discovery for you, Jarl ! And for us ! Really special those peaks and pinacles ! The more wild it is, the more beautiful ! Luckily you don't have fear of heights.... What an amazing nature ! Golden and blue colours.... A gorgeous video ! And.... Happy Birthday, dear Jarl ! Congratulations ! Today, maybe, a last skiing-tour, solo or with friends ? Stay healthy, and have many new exciting outdoor-adventures !
The rain made all the foliage perk up, as you climbed up! I appreciated the close-ups lending themselves to those viewpoints. Fantastic and awe-inspiring, as ever! 🌄
WooooooooooW !!!!! SO SO beautiful !!! I was completely relaxed till u hiked that high cliff. I just started gripping terrified for u. But we wouldn’t have seen SUCH scenes. Thank U !!! N I love ur beard too. 👍🙏🤘👍⛰️❤️‼️ TJ
Oh I can’t wait for part II Jarl! That lapis lazuli inlet was spectacular from that high advantage, and sometimes I couldn’t tell the sky from the sea in the distance. The Boot was cool, wonder where it’s mate is? 🤔. I love your videos because you don’t talk a lot of hype and are so calm and collected, even while you’re slipping on a trail..😲 Glad the chain was there! Someone mentioned your birthday.. Gratulerer med dagen Jarl! Hope you had some chocolate cake. 🥰
I just discovered your channel while searching for outdoor options in Europe. I was born and raised in Utah, and one of my passions in life is exploring the outdoors of the Western United States; in fact I have been to most of the places in the U.S. that you have documented on your channel. I moved to The Netherlands two years ago, and the complete absence of wild outdoor opportunity here has been an extremely difficult adjustment. Just seeing the beautiful options that exist in Scandinavia is giving me new hope that I can continue my hobby on this continent as well.
Hey James, you should travel to Norway and Sweden then. The weather isnt as reliable as in Utah but there are great places to visit. Where did you grow up in Utah? Utah is my favorite and I would really love to go there again soon, I have some things I need to do around Glen canyon and the Dirty Devil river...
@@NorwegianXplorer I'm already looking at the calendar to find a date to come up there. Which specific place would you recommend for a week long solo trip in August? I grew up near Salt Lake City and I have explored many of the high mountain areas in that area in addition to the red rocks down south. As a teenager, I did a trip down Dark Canyon, and aside from water skiing in Lake Powell, I haven't done much more in the Glen Canyon area. It is beautiful there. I'm tentatively planning a trip in October to explore parts of Escalante with some friends back home.
@@jamespark4335 Awesome, I have been down Dark Canyon too, beautiful place! A week long trip in August would be good anywhere, but Jotunheimen and Breheimen national parks are awesome in summer, Jotunheimen has a loop that will take you over Besseggen ridge and to the highest mountain in Norway, Galdhøpiggen, in a a week. That would probably be an amazing trip for you to start your Norwegian experience with.
Absolutely breathtaking and quite literally! What an amazing experience, and filmed so perfectly that I could almost feel vertigo. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I loved the narration and comments. Your hike down from the steep peak was unforgettable. I am looking forward to the next video!
Amazng footage of a lanscape that was made when the creator was at a really good mood. I have never been there but from mainland Norway in Steigen it looks like some "Fairytale Islands". If you don`t know Steigen, it`s the best kept secret of Norways areas. Not many people travel to this Nordland pearl.
Hello Jarl! I would like to congratulate you! This is one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen on youtube. The landscapes, the mountains, the sea, the sky, it's all wonderful! Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with us!
Thank you so much for this video, truly spectacular scenery, it must compare with the very best in the world, but also its a celebration of the majesty and diversity of nature. It is on my wish list but am now determined to make it happen 🙂 Thanks again 👍
Another beautiful adventure! What a beautiful view. Lofoten looks amazing, great that you dropped an outdoor experience without snow this time ;) spring is calling. Have a wonderful week and take care out there, Mario
@@NorwegianXplorer No. thank you man, for all the great content, nobody needs ntflx or amzn if there are people like you who produce such a high quality content ;)
Gledet meg til denne. Endelig. Skal til Lofoten i juni 2023. Because my sister said one day that I’m supposed to take her there and I’m too afraid to say no.
I like European men with a spirit of leadership. Not oppressing women and that's a good thing.😊❤️✨. Beautiful Europe 🥰 Thank you for sharing VDO safe and healthy..
I've read all the reviews, prior to mine. Your adventures & photography are amongst the very best here on youtube. Thank you for taking your time, effort, & equipment & sharing all the beauty that I'd never know existed if it wasn't for you. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.
Tusen tack, Jarl 😊
Excellent video, Jarl! Thanks for showing the trails and scenery along the way. I plan a hiking trip to Norway this summer, including Lofoten and Senja islands. Mt Munken is one of the hikes. You mentioned you hiked to Mt Munken. I could not find the video from the playlist. Can you provide me with the link of that video? Thanks.
@@NorwegianXplorer ill be sailing down the fjords, also visiting Stavanger, Haugesund ,Olden, Alesund.will be expolring Stryn and also heading to Aakrafjord and langoss waterfall.
YAY!!!!!! you finally made it to Lofoten. Spectacular scenery. Thank you Jarl for all your hard work filming this awesome video for us to enjoy. Are you planning on coming back to the US anytime soon.
Walked up and down the North Cape from Holland...all along the Norwegian coast and back along the Russian border and then in Poland straight west home. Norway was the best for sure ...but harsh weather conditions these ten months
More awesomeness. Does the name Lofoten have anything to do with `loft', as in ceiling or attic? ... Damn. I'm under a four-day, pandemic related house arrest here in Shanghai. Your videos are a lifesaver. Thx again.
We often construct names by combining words. Lofoten or Lofotr (old norse) is based on a combination of 'Lo' (a name for the animal Lynx) and fotr (fot in old norse).
Hi . Beautiful video and weather seems so friendly. May i know which months did you visit. I plans mine in October 2022. Waiting for my visa in next week
Fantastic places ! ...and this is exactly the same trekking I was organising for the next summer ! I was skipping the Gylltinden pinnacle but the view over there is really impressive : I think I'm going to include it too again :) . You did it at the end of august ? I just wonder about the colors that are already the "autumn" ones . ...and then a question : it'd be nice to know the name of the peaks that surround you during a trekking or the pictures and videos ...do you use the map to recognise them or you have an app to install on the smartphone to make everything easier ? Greetings !
@@NorwegianXplorer I guess that it can happen that , already doing so many videos , there is not the chance all the times to take notes of the peaks' name . Which app do you use to recognise them ? ...and it works offline too ? I just wonder when , most of the time , there is no signal in those places :) . Thanks !
@@NorwegianXplorer Thank you a lot , I'll give a chance then . To try to locate all the peaks by the map can be challenging sometimes . Have a nice week and "see you" on the next weekend then :)
Hi. Great videos. I'm just.preparing to come to Norway on May 10th. Just wondering what the weather is like at the moment there away from Lofoten.... Will there still be snow on the trails or will it have melted and things be really boggy underfoot. Also wondering if drones are tolerated in Nirway or frowned upon by the walking community??! Many thanks and love your videos!!
May 10th is probably not a good time, it would still be snow, ice and mud, drones are mostly illegal, very strikt fines if you are caught filming in illegal zone, apart from that the drones are frowned upon, some tourists still bring them and fly illegaly.
@@NorwegianXplorer thanks for the reply. I'm starting I the south so hopefully it'll be better in the 2-3 weeks it takes to get up north. And I'll leave my drone at home. ATB. Mark
Hallo Jarl, I have seen all your Videos this year on RU-vid. I am in Norway This Summer for 2 Werks. I could not yet decide on a partikular tour. Which sections did. you like the Most?
@@NorwegianXplorer Hello Jarl, think you very much for your answer. In the planning I had so far the Tour Haugastol-Finse (Hallingskarvet)-Odda- Haukeliseter. Breheimen but I also like very well!
