Lol!!! I guess it does look like a goose also, but it is supposed to be a swan! All in the eye of the beholder...some days you feel like a goose, some days a swan...lol!!!
This is one of the most satisfying builds I've ever seen. Not only because it's filmed creatively and with care, but also because you have such a good eye to detail. You want everything to look good and function perfectly. I'm in the same way. It's kind of a sickness, but in a good way. Keep up the good work :) This video made me to subscribe! (Sorry for any misspelling. Don't blame me... blame google!)
Thanks for your nice words, it's great to know that you appreciate my work and feel close to my way of creating and developing stuff. :) Welcome to the channel!
I love that you make proper use of hand tools like plane, file & rasp & don't just go straight to a belt sander & force it to reshape wood like many RU-vidrs do ... and it's refreshing to see a young person using joinery (butt joints in this vid, lap joints in the 1st one) instead of over-building everything with the same $200 pocket-hole jig. Great job & a well-prepared vid.
You are absolutely fantastic. You have a great mind and creative hands. You are a joy to watch, a treat to listen to, and a great teacher to learn form. Thanks so much for your videos.
I enjoyed "The Yellow of Porto" being connected to your project during the narrative. Also got a new idea from you about masking tape to hold those pesky wires when soldering. Thank You!
Damn Damn Damn you are awesome love love love your voice and commentary before build starts and during Very much hope that some one gives you great piles of money to produce shows and what ever you'd like .You are a force. I'm an old guy here in the states with a 7 year old that I'm trying to inspire . And human lady I'm using you !!! Keep it up you are awesome . Is there a place where I might purchase a T- Shirt ?
Hey Matt, that sounds awesome and it's great to get kids into making stuff with their hands (and mind). About the T-shirt, not yet but I will work that out soon! Thank you for being around :)
I am speechless, your skill is amazing. I dont even want to imagine how much money you have spend for all that equipment, but the skill and precision you have while using it ....pfff. WELL DONE!
GHD, 71.5 Thousand subs, ........ , Wow !!! :) I am impressed at your attempt & success for accuracy. I was looking for timber frame joinery, bed designs and found you. :) :) :) I can see why the high volume of subs from this one, 5 video, short story. I was surprised I couldn't pull myself away, even though I've got 27 yrs of high end commercial wood works installation and many, plenty, custom side jobs worth of making saw dust under my belt. lol I must tell you again how impressed I was at your wood works, the way you think, your video editing skills and your vision in general. I'm an old, slow, disabled 52yrs now, but still find ways to keep busy. I still play at making saw dust, (pool cue repair, jewelry boxes, anything custom, flat work & lathe work :) but found astrophotography recently, which is very rewarding and turned me on to creating video time lapse. From there I've, more recently, started learning about creating, "video how to's" and editing. I've done only a few as of yet but have a few more in the works. Things are even slower now because I moved to the country where I will remain to the end of the winter of my life. It's quiet w/ big spaces and lots of room to enjoy creation and wildlife. I've been working on my shops and yard so everything comes slowly. I just wanted to thank you for your generous consideration to share and inspire. I have been inspired :) You inspire me !!! Steph Boeker what's flatwork? I agree tho, at first i didn't know if id be interested in her vids since it's clear shes no expert, but her passion and surprisingly her lack of experience is invigorating and inspiring. Im 28 and dabble in woodworking, im more mechanically inclined. Diesel mechanic, welder, etc. And also worked construction plumbing which requires building of course. However i cant work due to severe back, knee and nerve issues. I can still work on cars, build things etc, just not at a jobs pace. I want to add wood working and tech things into my database cuz i enjoy creating with my hands and knowledge and wont give it up. A spot in the country with a workshop and time is a dream of mine. I hope to be building my dream home within the year on at least 5 Acres of land. I hope things go well for you. Maybe you can make your own videos and inspire others the way shes inspired us 😊 cheers! Justin aka Grim Indianapolis, Indiana
It's wonderful to read such great words, Steph. I feel rewarded by knowing that the things I do have repercussions on other in a positive way. You inspire me back to keep working and developing new content, so thank you for taking the time to actually pay attention to my work. Keep making those time lapse content and maybe we can start seeing some creations of yours too :)
AMAZING INTRO. I love that your videos are not just tutorials, but that you take the time to conceptualize and make each of them a special audiovisual piece. They are art on themselves.
Thanks Kriss, always great to have you around :D It's great! But the concept and design is not mine, is from Savvas Papasavva :D He is the author of the swan push stick and he has a printing plan on his website so you can make your own.
There is so much good stuff that I made an index: 2:00 Already peed my pants 3:54 your crosscut sled is soooo huge I could sleep on it. don't turn on the saw though, we are not magicians :D 5:18 nice lamp post :D 5:40 - watched 5 or 6 times. addictive 7:55- ADDICTIVE 8:20 don't make screws cry :( 10:05 why didn't you draw a cactus? :D feel free, no copyrights :P 11:06 hanging legs :DD you wear yellow trousers on purpose right? 11:32 looks freaking fantastic
Oh my... Looks like I need to give you some diapers for christmas xD Ahahaha love you humor! What's wrong with my lamp post?! Very unique and artistic! Of course I wore them on purpose, duh! I think about (almost) everything :p Estava a fazer "pandan" com o cenário :D
You are , indeed, a contemporary Renaissance woman-Kudos! Am here in Belize working on a tiny house design for a interested party and this design has helped me to get more flexible and switch gears to solve some spacial challenges. Being a 66 year old woman who also builds, I liked your philosophy on staying young...Flexibility (of both mind, body, and spirit) rocks! You GO, gyal!
Interesting to watch the building process. Thanks for sharing! If it were me, I'd probably want to put the fish tank on a drawer, so I could pull it out to work in it, and slide it back. It's interesting to see how other people deal with the same problems. It looks wonderful! Thanks again for sharing.
I did like this one it was great. The yellow pants were a nice touch. The way you changed things on the fly is an important point that's often overlooked on RU-vid. I liked also how you started off talking about your identity.
Ahaha, obrigada!
Of course Matthias Wandel has some good techniques, Of course Jimmy Diresta have some clever ways to do furniture, Of course Steve Ramsay have some nice ideas for home. But none of them has a poetical way to make a video like you do. And obviously, none of them are a delight to the sight as you are. Keep your hands dirty!
Have you watched Jay Bates' video on him making his miter saw station? He shows how to align drawer slides. Here you go. -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vmCli1IatFA.html
The final product looks awesome. I cannot wait to see the floating desk!

Cristiana tiveste muito trabalho, como bem mostraste em teu video, muito bem executado. Projeto excelente para quem tem pouco espaço, que é uma realidade nos dias de hoje Parabéns e muito sucesso a tí.
in episode 1 of this loft series you have shown a bit of your artistic side and i think its showing in every little bit of videography in these videos. i love it
Very nice project. It looks gorgeous and the yellow really gave it ''Light'' as you said. Está um trabalho mto bonito. O amarelo deu um contraste mais radiante. Well done.
Very much enjoying your builds... I started to watch for some instruction and idea... but I've stayed around for your process, the journey and your consideration of task. Gorgeous detail and sweeeet detail to all. Excellent video making thanks
Not only it came out as a beautiful project, but the video itself it's wonderfully made. Of all the makers on youtube your videos are what get closer to art pieces, keep up your outstanding work!
I am beyond impressed. Thank you for the quality of video, the amazing content, and for sharing your thoughts. I could watch and listen to you for hours
A most original & well executed project, to boot done by woman. I now am looking forward to following you on your next project. I am sure it'll be just as exciting to watch the process. Very well done. Kind regards.
I'm in love!! Just saw the video before this one last week and subscribed. You're videos are truly brilliant works of art and I LOVE your work! Mind you, my father was a carpenter and I'm used to seeing and working with people that have been building things their whole lives and are truly experts at what they do. But your work truly brings a smile to my face. You are fearless and just push through to get what you want. This is a real joy to see in progress. Thanks for this.
I cant believe it, you make it look so easy, ...great video, great music, great sound, great mind thoughts... you're such an inspiration right now... i just can't wait for the next episode... you got a huge fan in Bolivia, South America now....
Chris, Thrilling video. I to have full memories of making my bed room a similar color when I was a teenager. Your sense of design, the music and everything else is world class. You rock! Consider some more LED strips hidden above and around the desk. LED controls and strips in color are way way cool. There is even a yellow. I have a set at the ceiling in my bedroom. I use a 'J' channel that is for drywall. CHEAP and used user strong 3M foam tape to ensure the strips do not lose their stickiness as I have seen happen. Keep up the best make videos I have seen.
That looks soooooooo goooood! Wow! The colors are wonderful. I love the shade of yellow mixed with the greys. Your fish look very happy in their new environment!
