Lofty you are a legend been following your book and listening to what you have to say since I was 10 years old as help me and save me for lots of situations even when I become a type 1 diabetic I managed to cope with it all because of you and using my mental attitude one day I hope to meet you and shake your hand much respect
you always get someone voice their views,i find that this type of person, has no ideas,or exp to shout about, lets start on a more postive note.I have been very lucky and been on a course, with loft, and other ex special forces instructors, and what they ,teach, and exp they are kind enough to share is priceless, and they give so much of their time to others!!!! well done, and from most of us thanks for the talks
The trouble the ray mears tribe is that they dont understand black military humour. One day, I was in a pub with lofty having some grub. He said to me, "Go over to a 6ft 3-inch guardsman at the bar and say . What is the difference between an Irish guardsmen and a slice of bread? He drew up to his full height and said, "Don't know. " I removed myself as quickly as possible, saying you can make soldiers out of a slice of bread, but you can't make a soldier out of an Irish Guardsman.😂😂
Something about adrenalin. When it's over you shake (sometimes violently) and lose coordination like he talks about. This is unavoidable consequence of how it all works. It can become important to keep calm as you see impending doom approaching, attempting to ensure you don't peak too soon and end up not being able to move when the doom/action arrives. Adrenelin hits so fast and can be over too quickly, it's a one-shot deal and you need it when you need it, not before.
what bushcraft is,was, how ppl perceive it and whether they just play on the weekends is totaly irrelevant imo.lofty is a legend in this field and has inspired alot of ppl..the rest is bs...
