I’ve done two full remodels for people up in that community over the years. These videos and your channel in general just bring me to a special place. Long days running a generator, sunset swims in the lake, hectic drives over the summit down to get like three miscellaneous items I broke or forgot, PIZZAS. The guy who runs the store saved my life one day with a box of 18ga finish nails. Thanks for the videos, man

Aloha Diego, Mahalo (Thank You) for your videos... both my husband & I find it relaxing, educational and somehow that same sense of accomplishment... My husband was like you an all around hobby craftsman... since his major stroke 6 years ago... right arm still paralyzed and he is mute... We've had to retire him...i thank you because there's a sense of fulfillment for my husband...i was his assistant and i find my joy in keeping his shop area tidy and organized... my favorite tool which i don't think you have and should get is a blower... it'll make clean-up so great! in your shop, truck, roadways after your cuttings, around your home/ driveway etc. Mahalo for sharing your great creations... Diego has skills! Yes, a wench, block and tackle, maybe a trailer at some point and you would be set. I love the post and beam design. It's almost too nice for just storing wood. Fantastic work.

Nice work! My very first boss, this was with Texaco in Canada, told me….I don’t care if it works or not, it’s gotta look good! I think the guts of your wood shed looks terrific! The ridge beam should be interesting. You could have long 2x4s lying flat from the ground to the tops of the 3 ground posts then fastened to posts and with 2 ropes tied to either end of the ridge beam located at the base of the 2x4s, then with a ladder at either end of shed pull on rope at one end up a few feet tie it down then go to other end do the same. Once ridge beam is on the

You look like you need a portable winch. We use a pcw4000 to pull way bigger trees out of the woods. It hooks up quick and is pretty durable. Anyway, nice progress on the woodshed.

Great video - tons of super helpful tips in here as I build a similar shed; I'm definitely learning from your problem solving. Couple questions - 1. Why do you not use your chainsaw to cut the perpendicular cuts in the notch (instead of the traditional method you are using). I'm guessing you are probably just trying to be more precise but I have a feeling you could get it really close to perfect with the chainsaw and then use the framing slick. 2. Why do you flip the logs instead of skidding them out of the woods? If you get a 10 foot length of a good rope (like a boat anchor rope or something similar) you can tie around one end of the log and the loop the other end of the rope around your waist like a belt. You'' be surprised how much power you can have with that little bit of leverage (I've manually skidded 20 foot timbers out this method).

Normally a horizontal level vs a vertical level (plum) from the use of a plum bob. So u are looking for level and plum.

When using a slick it takes patience. I took a class last year for timber framing. Having the poles or beams secure while using slicks and chisels is very comforting. Well done. I too was wondering why such a high-pitched roof for a woodshed. Do you plan to install some shear bracing?

A dual purpose structure, a woodshed and a bomb shelter. Dig beneath and make a subterranean living space, This will stand anything upto an atom bomb. So many trees on the ground, all you need is three to make an A frame.

The way you were lifting the logs upward made me wonder why you didn't use a tarp or something frictionless to put under the log and drag them to your truck. How about a log arch? I assume that'd be easier and safer than lifting them over your head.

Screwing into end grain has no holding power , U need to put metal strapping around all the joints & screw into the side grain for strength !!! 👌

Diego, when you're hauling logs out of the bush, why don't you get some thick rope and use your pickup to skid them out instead of killing yourself flipping them out!

The local “authorities” don’t have an issue with you collecting wood alone the roads? So many places around the country would require you to have permits and pay fees to collect wood on public land.

Way too much work for a wood shed.🤦‍♂️
