David Haley you are welcome! I took a drive through your area checking out an excavator up in Roseau. I saw these trucks hauling pole length wood and was curious on how you guys did the logging with all that swamp. 😁

David Haley right now I'm going to school in Grand Rapids to get my forestry degree. Currently a partner in my dad's logging business otta central Wisconsin. (lots of driving) Been all over up there doing forestry work though. Was wondering your take on that John deere slasher. we're running a 182 hood and it's getting time to update....

curt648 you're right in my backyard. ICC does a good job. My nephew went there and then to Steven's Point. The 437E Deere has been good so far.

curt648 yes Hanfab slasher and carrier. They build a good product in my opinion.

Spruce there is a Verso mill in Duluth but we don't send them anything. We send more of our wood to UPM Blandin for them to make paper.

David Haley oh ok I figured verso was the only mill left doing 8ft

Most mills here in Minnesota do 100". PCA in International Falls does tree length.

@@davidhaley7053 I live in Pennsylvania...work at a Domtar papermill. Had to look up Upm. They make a coated sheet, we make uncoated like copy and envelope paper. Did they end up shutting down the #5 machine there?

Yes they did. Last Christmas. It's hurt us bad.
