I was 13 when I first discovered Logic and now I’m bouta be 23. Glad I stayed up that summer night watching BO2 clips, Just a Man and Break it Down was the first I discovered
@@psyche7668 i feel like lyrical ability and motivations cannot be lost over time, maybe they get buried under things, i hope he can come back to shit like this too!
I think that Bino's and this version are both great. I don't get why there are people trying to bash either rapper, because they are both very talented artists.
logic literally said in an interview that he loves childish gambino and if he didn't know him there probably wouldn't be no logic at all. case closed to the argument
I was 14 years old. In the markofj’s twitch stream and this song came on. From then it’s all become history. And to those who’s made it here.. congrats. We’ve all grown up. As his journey ends our story truly begins. God bless you all see ya in 2030 🤟🏽✌🏽
Gambino does a really good job singing in his version, but Logic kills this track with his rap... They both kill it yes, but in different ways. And I honestly liked both versions, just for different reasons.
Norbert Szabo you got to admit though, logic be so fresh he's stainless. I honestly think he's the rapper who runs it because his lyricism is good. , With all of the work he has I think he think's that he's buried alive. He's under pressure you know? he helps find who I am, he set's the tone. I just hope he does this till the end.
+Nachito Atilano logic always sets the tone as soon as I hear it. Its an incredible true story how he grew up in that neighbourhoud and his addiction to nikki danm!
I'm clearing this up cause I seen a lot of people saying false facts, So here we go The sample you hear in the back is from Adele - Melt My Heart to Stone. Childish Gambino Realesed Do ya like in 2010 And Logic realesed it in 2012. So there you go.
I’ll be surprised if anyone is here in 2024? -I’m going to edit this every time someone comments 🔥 It’s currently May 16 2024 , 11:58am - May 19 2024 , 9:55pm - May 24 2024 , 6:50pm
So I watched Gambino's first and saw the mess happening in the comments, and came here to compare. And honestly all I can say is that the argument disappoints me. These are two entirely different songs. The the beats in back are close, but between logic and gambino, they could not be more different. Apples and oranges, rap and hip-hop, you just can't hold the two to the same standards and get a reasonable response.
Rap: Orginated from the blues; a music genre Hip-hop: black culture: rap (all other sub genres of rap), rapping, graffiti art, battle rap, freestyle rapping. I understand what you mean though both songs are great regardless. People always feel the need to compare similar things like it makes them feel better or something.
+Aahli 17 Wow never stopped to listen to the backup vocals, but that is totally Childish. They make such a good team! I really enjoyed Driving Ms. Daisy
I think you like it more because logic could do more, he could use instrumentals and sample songs like he can't do under a label (he has to make most of his stuff now). Like this Adele sample is lovely but he wouldn't be able to do that now. I do think his rap skills are better now tho
+juliana olivares wasn't tryna be rude at all, no need to overreact. Also I wouldn't consider falling off meaning he's selling 130k on your most recent album and having two top 3 selling albums first week...he's doing better and better. If you don't like it too bad but logic is pulling off sold out world tours and making millions compared to his hype on mixtapes.
+juliana olivares it's not as genius me because it's not even his production or instrumental. He got it from Gambino and Adele. He does whatever sound he wants now and is free in creativity, he's much better off regardless of what you think
There is NOTHING better to wake up in July sunny morning with your gyal next to you and this song in the background. Let me live in this momment forever.
Listening to this in high school back in 2012. I’d give up whatever it takes to go back to them days. Call of Duty double XP weekends listening to this mixtape was unmatched 💪🏽
I remember bumping this freshman year 2012-13 this logic is just undefeated. I miss these days so much. Hated them in the moment but his music got me thru it
He’s continuing from the Halo game line…Halo is a game exclusive to XBox. “You can ask my ex, I never eat the Box" X (ex) is a button on the XBox controller. "Eat the box” is also a slang in DMV (DC Maryland VA) meaning to eat a girl out (oral sex). Logic then continues with the next line! “But if I control her I may select some freaky shit to start, Then bring it back" …now THAT’S A THOUGHT! :) Most video game controllers (control her) got a button named select and an other one named back! (From Genius)
I discovered logic and my love for rap through this track 4 years ago... i've been a fan ever since. Love that he always kept his style. And now he finally gets the attention he deserves - I'm so damn proud!

Takes me back to 2011 when I first listened to this song when I was with my ex. Oh to be 16 again and falling in love. This song just almost made me cry
Thrown it waaaay back mayun this was the song that got all my whanau thru grieving our 2 family members that had past 8years later I find it again and it brings all that raw emotions back still love this song and will forever love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
2022, I still go back to this.. this is my fav album of Logic. I remembered the bulky ipod I used to have and all the good memories when I was younger 🥲
alright(1)i have to admit that logic bounces(2) everytime. when Im on the low(3) then I just listen to logic, when I wake up at 5am(4) logics music always cheers me up. And I often ask my friends like"do ya like(5) logic?" they always reply with no but after I show them they always say "now(6) I like him" others reply with"its alright(7). I think hes a wonderful rapper and should be awarded man of the year(8) all he does is grind(9). Still its not never enough(10). And also when im driving ms daisy(11) his music cheers me up😂😂😂😂😂
Am I the only one thinking they killed it both? Logic killed it with his rhymes in this one but without Gambino's singing I don't think I would've liked it as much as I do now.
lol what makes you think he was happier back then? He was actually the opposite. There's interviews back in the day of him saying he was grinding so hard back in the day making this mixtape that he went nights with little to no sleep and was just in constant work mode. He's now married, successful, more money than he'll ever need, under "no pressure", and has a son. pretty sure he's happier now than back then
@@EvsPersonal i bet you feel so good about yourself, going into all that detail to prove how far off in your opinion i am on the subject I POSTED 👀😂😂First of all calm down, youre not paid to represent him or defend his life's specifics!! You dont know for sure how he was feeling and how is now, youre not his agent!! You put too much effort into attempting to correct me keyboard hero!!
Besides just because he was grinding away in the studios doesnt mean his fam life was shit, some dudes just put work over being at home caking it up with wifey because they rather build so they can cake it all up longer later!! Whatever, not about to entertain your opinion over mine, i can tell he had more enthusiasm in his lyrics when he was still in hunger mode, thats facts!!
