For me I cant still find an 'ultimate' solution. I am missing and portrait mode on most of the cases so I am stucked on cheap case for now and when I need to write more, I have TKL bluetooth keyboard on my desk. Fortunatelly I do not need the keyboard to be portable but I am still thinking about buying the logitech combo touch so I don't have to be switching keyboard between work computer and tablet.
@@Michal_Peterka yea it is really hard to find decent case with portrait mode but I knew I really wanted a keyboard with the 12.9". I definitely say it's worth a try and is a better option then the Magic Keyboard. Thanks for watching and good luck case hunting!
I love the Bridge promax for use in my office at home but I enjoy and I never use the bridge promax for travel for that I like the logitech combo touch but to be completely honest I have about four or five of the cases including an ESR folio a logitech slim folio that I got for $40 and a couple of the $20 Amazon cases one that looks like the notebook cover . I enjoy them all but my number one and number two cases are the combo touch for functionality and then the Bryce for shear good looks and keyboard feel
I was trying to decide between the Magic Keyboard and the Logitech Combo as well. I decided on the Logitech due to the price and the extra protection. I think I made the correct decision. I have had no issues with the track pad or anything else. The function keys at the top are definitely a plus.
Great video. I just upgraded from an Amazon Fire HD 10 to the M1 12.9 iPad Pro. I honestly hadn’t owned an iPad since my old OG iPad 2 from like 2012 I think haha. I recently bought this exact same case/keyboard combo and have to say that for my use case, it checks off all the boxes. I do appreciate that your video was straight forward and realistic. I know big “Tech-Tubers” have a winning formula for presenting products, which is fine at times, however it is always nice to watch smaller channels as you provide a more relatable perspective. Keep up the great work. New Sub indeed.
Congrats on the upgrade! I still have no idea what I'm doing so straightforward honesty is what I got lol. Thanks so much for watching and for the sub!
I was debating between the Logitech combo and the magic keyboard for awhile now. But I ended up getting the Logitech because I like the versatility, although the magic keyboard is very aesthetic.
Very Well explained ! . Subscribed your channel. I tried both the logitech combo and Apple magic keyboard. To be honest, the apple magic keyboard is more smooth to use and even the trackpad cursor movements is very smooth. Also in magic keyboard, we can simultaneously charge , along with connecting external device for long hours works its helpful. For the protection, i have purchased Pitaka Magnetic case which can be used along with the magickeyboard. Just my personal choice and experience.
Thanks for sharing and for watching! I totally agree, the MK is an amazing keyboard and trackpad. Definitely the smoothest I've ever used, and the other features are for sure nice...just depends what matters more to you. I don't ever hook my iPad up to anything so that didn't really matter as much as the flexibility and protection. All features worth considering when choosing between the two though!
@@cortneygale no. we cant buy stuff and just return it because we don't like it. it should clearly have a problem before we can return it and it should be within a few days. even some times we can only return for a new one, and not for the money back.
Wow that's insane! I had no idea. Thank goodness it's not like that here because I'd be way more afraid to buy and try new things and I probably wouldn't be making any videos...
Your absolutely correct,, I watched a few vids and went with the Logitech Combo. Let me say one thing , the Logitech is way more useful than the Magic. The price difference and the upper tool bar is way better, thanks, very informative vid, stay safe. Tom
ive been using this keyboard on the base ipad for maybe two years, its amazing and well worth the money only thing is that there is some deforming of the rubber around the speaker holes and the power button. i think the power button one is because i hold it there and its slower pulled it apart
My relationship to this case has involved me returning it and then returning back to it from the Apple Magic Keyboard. Although the Magic Keyboard was good, just at the end of the day I did not feel that the case protected the iPad enough. In order to protect the sides of the iPad I would have to purchase another case on top of the Magic Keyboard case there by increasing the amount spent to protect the iPad when I can just re-purchase the Combo Touch. Coming back to the Combo Touch I didn’t realize how much I missed the function keys at the top of the keyboard. I also did not realize how much I miss the extra trackpad real estate. Holding the two cases, you honestly do not notice the difference in weight and yet the Combo touch offers more protection for your investment at a much cheaper price. The Magic Keyboard brings the iPad closer to you, there by affecting the interaction you have with your tablet. If you wish to remove the iPad from the Magic Keyboard it is less cumbersome than that of the Combo Touch. The Magic Keyboard is made by Apple and the Combo Touch is made by Logitech. The Materials of the two cases are different but I much prefer the texture and material of the Combo Touch over the Magic Keyboard simply because I think the Magic Keyboard material is a finger print and oil magnet. I also felt that the Material of the Magic Keyboard would ware a lot faster than that of the Combo Touch. I did however put a Durand skin on the Magic Keyboard and yet again adding to the cost of owning the Magic Keyboard. Looking back on the journey I took in coming to my final decision, I am thankful for having Best Buy close by and having Total Tech on account of having the extended return time of 60 days. This allowed me the time to be able to make a conclusive decision of my purchase.
Thanks for sharing your journey! After all this time having the Logitech, the thing that probably annoys me the most is how annoying it is to get the iPad in and out of the case. But other than that I'm still very happy with my decision!
I've been using the Magic Keyboard with my 12.9 iPad Pro since it came out several years ago. I love it. Although I've looked at all the other keyboards as they came out I think the MK is perfect for me. There are differences with each keyboard setup and what works for one person will not work for someone else. To each their own. Thanks for the great review and hope the logi works for you.
Excellent video! I've got the M1 12.9" iPad Pro + magic keyboard. I love this combo as a laptop replacement, but agree that it's pricey. The best iPad cases I've ever owned are from Zugu. I use a Zugu on my 12.9" whenever I don't have it on the magic keyboard.
@@RameshKumar-ng3nf I have the Apple magic keyboard and a Zugu case. I keep the iPad on the MK while I use it during the day. It goes in the Zugu whenever it's not on the MK.
@@MadMaxx1977 Thanks Sir for sharing 🙏🏻. I have a MK , I think good idea to purchase a extra case for protection when drawing with apple pencil. Will plan to buy soon.
the Magic Keyboard is form over function and the Combo Touch is function over form but still with really good form - the MK is cool and pretty but seems half-baked; the CT is actually useful
I noticed the Logitech Combo Touch also on Apple and i ended up getting it. I truly love it not only do i have keyboard but i am able to proctect the iPad Pro completely . I also would like to thank you because I didn’t know that you could put it back wards so thank you so much for the information..
First of all, great video 😊 second; I, too, have the same logitech case for my iPad 12.9 and one day I was browsing through Amazon and I found this small thin metal pencil holder you can put between the case and your iPad and it has solved all my issues (this isn’t sponsored, I am not affiliated to the company, I found this product on my own and bought on my own) and thoroughly recommend it. The product is: Thankscase Magic Holder Compatible for Apple Pencil, to be Used with Magic Keyboard, Handmade Ultra-Thin Steel Plate Plus Leather, Design for Apple Pencil Holder.
Definitely found the combo touch better than the magic keyboard. Overall protection is better, touch & feel from keyboard is great and, well, it's cheaper!
Great review. All your points for not getting the iPad Pro case are valid for me. I got the iPad mostly for sketching, drawing and diagramming., which requires angles this case doesn't have. Like you I use it a lot in the kitchen as well, and also in my workshop. Which requires a sturdy case. I think the only real use case for the iPad Pro case is if you use it as a laptop and need a very good keyboard that attaches to it. But I have a Mini M1 with a 4K screen which I use as my work computer. The iPad screen is just too small, for the non drawing part of my work. I was planning to buy a Macbook Pro M1 Max, but the combo M1 mini + iPad mini kind of works for me for the moment. For typing on the iPad I can use my Keychron K4 keyboard which types amazing, but I never really do. If I need to type, I just sit behind my M1 Mini and use the K4 keyboard + my big screen and it is just so much more comfortable.
Yea I don't think I could ever give up having a laptop and just use the iPad. I love my 16in MacBook and so many applications just function better on a computer still. The iPads are just great portable additions. I'd love to add the iPad mini to my collection but it just doesn't make sense financially right now. Thanks for watching!
@@cortneygale FYI I got the Mini as a temp computer while my Macbook Pro Touchbar was getting its battery replaced. However the M1 was so much faster that I ended giving the Macbook to my youngest. I actually gave my 2 other kids M1 Airs for Christmas (they were both on 5+ year old Macbooks). I was thinking about getting the Pro M1 Max, but the Mini-iPad combo covers all my use cases for now.
You pointed out something very important. A lot of people think they might use the iPad as a laptop, including myself, but then realize they don’t use the keyboard as much and just wanna use it as is
Yea I almost never use the keyboard but still love the Logitech for it's protection and flexibility. But I probably could've found a similar case that was wayyy less expensive...🤷🏼♀️ at least now I'll know for next time lol
I returned the 299 magic keyboard for my iPad Air gen 5 and got the 99 magic keyboard Bluetooth and magic track pad. Small setup works well with what I have to do
What I didn’t like about the combo touch was how far it keeps the iPad from you, because there are times where I don’t use the trackpad am touching the screen to navigate.
Hi Cortney, Do you find any flaws with the Logitech Combo Touch after 1 year of ownership? Any keyboard and trackpad input lag? Any deformity on the rubber case itself? Thank You
Honestly, I haven't used the keyboard much since getting it. I pretty much exclusively use the case with the keyboard detached. The case is holding up super well though and the few times I did use the keyboard and trackpad, I had no issues. Hope that helps!
I have this keyboard and I also noticed the bend on the case when I remove the ipad. Have you noticed any bending on the back of your iPad caused by the case? I’m afraid the aluminum in the back is gonna get bent from adjusting the kickstand back and forth.
Sooo I haven't even had it for a year, but my guess it that it'll probably be fine. I don't think the pressure is that strong. The case is pretty bendy and has the silicone edges so I think the iPad should fine! 🤞🏻
Hi! So I got the combo case around the time I got my iPad (on pre-order) so I had both for a little over a year. Case is extremely sturdy and I haven’t had any problems with the stand at all. The only issue is the edges of the case, the rubber parts where they are thinner to have spaces for the speakers, they kind of warped away from the ipad. I hope that makes sense. It’s definitely not that uniformed anymore. I plan on seeing if they provide a replacement case without the keyboard and hopefully it’s not much. It’s not currently necessary right now. But looking at it is kind of annoying. Great case over all though.
This case/keyboard is a win for me. I’m a post grad student that unfortunately had to have spinal surgery recently. This made lugging my bag with my laptop, folders and so on pretty challenging. The Logitech case with my iPad Pro means I can carry a bag/iPad/keyboard/folder combo that’s nearly 1.5kg lighter on a daily basis. Yes. The 12.9 and keyboard case only dropped about 500g from my laptop, but because I don’t need to carry a charger, and can use a smaller bag, it’s been a massive benefit to me.
Loved the video! I almost got the magic keyboard but like.. $350.00?? I can’t justify that. Will be getting the Logitech case instead thanks to this video! Thanks! New subscriber for sure 😁
Thanks so much 😊 I feel like Apple's Magic Keyboard case and their AirPods Max are their most obnoxiously overpriced items. But the Logitech is awesome and I hope you love it! Several people have commented that they have bad tech support but hopefully you won't have any issues!
I have the Magic Keyboard, and I'm happy with it. The lack of protection doesn't bother me because my M1 11" iPad Pro is my travel tech, and when I'm not using it, it sits in a protective case with the rest of my travel tech. There is also a DBrand skin on the keyboard and the exposed edges of the iPad. I like also the fact that the KB has a separate charging port, so the one on the iPad is left available. So I think I'll be sticking with the MKB. But thanks for the video, Cortney.
Love both ,own both. Depending on my plans depends on which one I take with me. If I’m on. Long road trip. I use the Logitech. I don’t use my iPad for taking photos. But I do use my iPhone for taking pics. And my iPad for cropping them or whatever I may do with them. When I am home I use the Magic Keyboard as I like the 2 ports for charging. If I decide to use external storage I can still charge. Both have a place. I find the trac pad to be just as responsive as each. Although being on the Logitech is a bit bigger. I find no clear winner in that department. Keys strokes and measuring them side be side I find zero difference between them. Both have the exact same travel and effort to press is identical. I do how however have the 11 inch iPad Air 5th gen. So mileage may vary. I chose the cheaper iPad and more flexibility with accessories. Again personal preference. I don’t sub my iPad as a lap top. Especially with apple iOS. I do however use the Mac book air if I need a laptop. So you decide what justifies your purchases. I love the material the Logitech uses. I’ve spilled what I thought would have stained it permanently. And cleaned up perfectly. Whatever they use must work.
Thanks Cortney. Question for you or any other: How lap-friendly is the keyboard experience? I heard that was a drawback to the Logitech. I have 2 older iPad Pro’s (12.9) both with older Logitech keyboards but they don’t have the kickstand - the portion on my lap is the size of the keyboard which works great. I am 6’3” so maybe my longer legs will mitigate the extra surface areas needed with the kickstand? Anyone with any opinions or experience with this, would appreciate a response. Vast majority of my work is with it on my lap….
So I'm 5'2" which makes the keyboard on my lap a VERY tight fit lol. If I'm reclined it can work, but it's a little unsteady. The few times I actually use the keyboard I'm either putting it on a surface or laying down with it propped against my knees. If you plan to use it on your lap a lot, maybe the MK would be better because it would be more stable and better angles. But I think you could get the Logitech to work on the lap if that's the direction you'd really rather go.
For me it’s the Apple keyboard. I’m gonna get all 3 iPad M1 with Apple Pencil and that floating keyboard. I think it depends what u like more and how it feels
I'll get the iPad Pro 12.9 for Christmas, and my Grandma will gave me the Logitech combo touch, because it has good Protection when I use ist at school, which the Magic Keyboard not does.
I wanted to use the Logitech Keyboard but due to horrible support experiences I bought now the apple magic keyboard in addition. For me it seems like logitech is fine if you don't expect to be in need of a good support. Looking at rating sites like t rusted shops let me feel like I'm not alone with this.
Luckily I've never had issues with my Logitech devices yet but that's a shame their support is so bad because I've always loved their devices. I'll have to keep that in mind for future purchases though...
@@cortneygale Yes thats so said, i had everything form keyboard, mouse, brio webcam and so on. but right now i'm waiting for a support case for a month. I bought the wrong keybaord (4th edition) and the were nto able to cancel the order even I called directly after right hitting the order button when I realized in the summary there is something wrong. The Phone support told me t hey will handle this quickly. But they reacted first time after I received the keyboard. Then in christmas stress I unfortunately sent the 5th edition keyboard back (which i bought in the meanwhile). It is 90€ more expensive. Now after a lot of back and forth they said they can't do anything about this. So Not Only that I sent back a keyboard that was cost 90€ more , and I still only have a keyboard that doesnt match the ipad, I could maybe also lost the complet price of the better keyboard. Still after a month in contact with them to get at least (some) money back. But nothing sure and it seems like the support sometime isn't reading the emails. And all started just because there seems to be no possibility to stop a order even right after clicking on the order button and contacting phone support. Just a mess . For my part I know that from time to time I may need support and thats why I wouldn't recommend any more to buy the logitech one. because support also has a value for me
I contacted support for the logitech combo touch breaking and they sent me a new one, I used the online chat though, I don't like contacting any support through the phone because I like to keep the chat for my records.
I purchased both keyboards with the intention of returning the one I didn’t like and I ended up returning the Logitech. The deal breaker for me was the Logitech isn’t sturdy enough to put it on your lap if you are sitting on the couch and need to do some typing. I found a refurbished Magic Keyboard on Amazon for $180 and it was brand new. I also can’t stand a naked iPad so I grabbed a simple case from Amazon that attaches to the iPad with magnets so I just need to snap it off the keyboard and snap it into the case when I don’t need the keyboard, simple and it takes 3 seconds. Also the Magic Keyboard has a smaller footprint if you have a small desk. My desk is an antique desk that belonged to my grandfather and the Logitech took up a lot of space.
Yea I figured the stability of the Logitech would be an issue without a tabletop for some people. I don't work that way very often so doesn't bother me much though. Thanks for sharing!
How is it when using it to type/navigate with trackpad on your lap? Really like the extra protection over the MK but concerned about lapability. Also, great vid, was expecting a much larger channel!
Sooo the MK might be better if you plan on using it on your lap a lot and are not interested in getting a lap pad. The Logi is not quite as stable and if you have a short lap might be hard to get the kickstand to rest on a good angle. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
😀 Magic Keyboard in Canada is $399 + tax for the Pro 11! Like the design, but began rethinking the price, and lack of function keys that the competition has for cheaper
I tried the Brydge, and returned it. I have the 2020 MK on my 2021 iPP 12.9", and it is a tight fit. I'm tempted by the Logitech Combo. Would you recommend the grey over the sand color regarding keeping it looking clean? Thank you for the very honest review.
If you prefer to leave your iPad in the case and like more screen angle flexibility it is totally the way to go! I've never seen the Sand colored one but it looks lighter so I'm sure it would show more but the material wipes off surprisingly well. So if you prefer the Sand color I'd give it a shot, unless you plan to use it really hard then the Grey would hide more. Good luck!
Great video! Would you consider reviewing the Zaggs ProKeys case (w/trackpad)? Literally no real reviewers have tried this keyboard case and it's like $130 (last I checked)
Thanks 😊. Very informative & useful first hand user review. You are correct about wanting an armored case for iPad while incorporating it with a detachable keyboard. My priority as a user is to protect my iPad. All the rest is meaningless if I mistakenly break it. iPads are meant to be portable by design. Apple ‘s 🍎 keyboard design lacks by not protecting you iPad. I can’t see spending $300 for this. For now user’s choices are military grade bulky protection or substandard silicon keyboard cases. I’m still searching for a good case.
Hi! It's in the description. However, someone commented with a different recommendation and for my uses it has been amazing! Here is the link to that one as well if you want to check it out: amzn.to/3oRp52g
How sturdy is the stand? My only worry is that since it’s fabric, it might get slide-y with the stress it gets from the constant recline. Hope you can help me out!
I'd say it is very sturdy! I don't know what magic they used but after months of heavy use it's holding up very well! I've been using it a bunch in like writing mode, so super far reclined and it stays in place pretty well when I'm writing or drawing.
To me this one I did not go for only reason. Putting it onto your lap with the keyboard not being sturdy I like the magic because it works well on lap. Only downside is no protection on the iPad once it off the magic keyboard
So true! The typing experience is much more challenging if you don't have it on a hard surface. I've found some angles that work but a lap desk/pad might be necessary if you work on your lap a lot.
I like your video and it helped me decide to get the Logitech keyboard. Your voice is nice, you don’t need to use so much vocal fry. 8:20 Like, show me a video of a man talking like this.
Yea I’m honesty still figuring out audio and feel like every video sounds and looks different lol but thanks for watching and I hope you love the case!
I returned my logi combo touch and got a mahic keyboard , the wobbling cursor issue on my combo touch was just so annoying that I couldn’t even use it for an hour before the cursor got stuck……
So sorry to hear that! It definitely isn't as smooth at the Apple trackpad but I wonder if you had a defective one? But as long as you don't mind losing protection when removing it from the case and less all around flexibility the Magic Keyboard is SUCH a nice case!
Have you had any problems with the trackpad, keyboard, or the case bowing near the speaker holes? Most reviews are positive but I've seen reviews where people have returned it multiple times for such issues.
I haven't had any trouble with the fit and the speaker holes line up well. Honestly, I use the case without the keyboard attached like 90% of the time. The few times I did use it I didn't have any issues though...hope that helps!
The only keyboard case I can compare it to is the Magic Keyboard and both the trackpad and keys are definitely better on the MK. Honestly it's impressive how nice they are on the MK, but the case is a bit more money and a bit heftier so there is more room for key travel. The Logitech is a lighter, thinner, (slightly) cheaper case. They also cram more keys onto it so it's a bit of a tighter typing experience and the keys are less distinct from each other. But again, I still think the typing and trackpad experience are probably on the nicer end for a case. Hope that's a little more helpful...
I go to Keys to go by logi, combo is very heavy, bulky and with keyboard its big, thick monstrous brick. Good for zombie apocalypse as wepon not for everyday use.
hey Cortney am gonna use this logitech combo keyboard but do u use screen protector or something else and would u recommend screen protector how u gonna rate according to protecting of screen by this combo keyboard when it kept close any issue on screen?
Hi! So I use a a Paperlike screen protector. It definitely gets marked up more than I'd like and the screen doesn't look as nice with it on but it makes the iPad writing experience way better! If you don't plan on writing on it though I'd recommend a screen protector that has a higher clarity. I think the case protects the screen pretty well but since I detach the keyboard most of the time I would for sure put a protector on it. Hope that helps!
@@cortneygale as i want to use my pencil only for video editing and photo editing and nothing else like writing mostly m gonna keep it on inside the case should i require any screen protector
@@rohitkumarsingha1981 I’m kinda OCD about scratches so I always put one on but you definitely wouldn’t need to get a Paperlike if you don’t plan on writing much, just something cheap with good reviews from Amazon would do the job!
The art of truthful commentary on these RU-vid reviews has gone the way of the dinosaur, possibly because most of these reviews are now monetized.. videos like this one are why my confidence has not also been lost. Great review, accurate depictions but most importantly, unbiased and honest. Thank you. FYI, after returning my overpriced apple wanna be dock/case,keyboard, i Purchased an open boxed Zugu Alpha for trips to the coffee shop, a Logitech Combo touch, for my hotel stays, and the Brydge Max+ for my desk at home.. All for $50 more than the Magic wanna be alone…Sorry Apple, i am no longer a Fan of your overpricing practices and propensity to omit features while holding imprisoned Apple users captive with you exclusionary practices or as some call it “ Apple ecosystem”. Let’s just call it what it is, Stockholm Syndrome” . #noheadphones, #noCharger and now #nofunctionkeys
Thanks for watching and for sharing! I also hate how they do a lot to hold people hostage (like why do lightning ports still exist!?). But I do appreciate their attempt at creating a more affordable tier of products over the past 2 years or so. As I said in another comment I believe this keyboard case, the AiPods Max and even their XDR display to be among their most grossly overpriced items. But I also can't say if I wasn't SUPER rich that I wouldn't get all of it anyways 😂 🤷🏼♀️
@@cortneygale agreed, apple products definately are made to a different standard and are generally a good value. Unfortunately, sometimes they go overboard with the price tags. I’m not a rich man but ive now promised myself to only one overpriced apple product per year , this year it was the AirPods max so the magic keyboard for my iPad was not an option, Lol Looking forward to seeing more videos from you
@Cortney Gale Let me know how that birthday gift works out. I have a pair of 1000 XM 3 sitting in a closet that have been collecting dust👍 and in need of a purpose
So the family came through! Lol the Sony's really are quite amazing but I already miss the tight integration the AirPods have with my iPhone (don't need a second app and able to change settings in the control panel) maybe if Apple actually comes out with new Max AirPods this year I'll have to cave and get them 😂 💰💰💰
I actually think the Logitech has more viewing angles but it doesn't do as well as the MK when not on a solid surface. Just depends what you're going for...
Magic Keyboard Folio is not really a case though. However, it's price is high 'cause there are people willing to pay it. Apple could probably sell it for half the price.
That's true it is more of a keyboard attachment and like I said in the video, if you want to use your iPad a computer then you'd probably love it. But for me the Logitech is a much better option and was worth the price for me.
On ETSY type in "Thankscase Magic Holder Compatible for Apple Pencil 2nd Gen, to be Used with Magic Keyboard, Handmade Ultra-Thin Steel Plate Plus Leather." Note the ATTENTION information on the product page, but if you have a skin like you won't matter
Another commenter actually mentioned something very similar on Amazon and I absolutely love it! If I ever make another iPad video I'll definitely be recommending that instead now! Thanks 😊
Just got a iPad pro + Magic keyboard - you listed my only gripe with the case (That it wont fold over on itself). Ended up getting mine for like, 190 bucks on black friday.
Wow that is such a good deal! I've been using my iPad a lot more this past month and I don't think I'd go back. The Logitech might not be for everyone but it is perfect for what I need! Thanks for watching 😊
Nice review! But oh man do I disagree with your opinion about the material of the case. The material Apple used with MK is absolutely terrible: if you touch it with even slightly sweaty or oily fingers the surface gets extremely nasty. The material on the Logitech however looks and feels way nicer and does not collect any fingerprints and grime whatsoever. The material of the MK was one of the biggest reasons why I sold it. Ew.
I have heard some things about that...the few days I used the white case I didn't experience too many issues but I'm sure the darker color would show more. I know I was worried about the Logitech material initially but I can't believe how well it's holding up and easy it is to clean! Thanks for watching and sharing!
With most girls you'd probably be right lol but I don't use a purse much. Just a lanyard for car and house key and a 4 card holder wallet! I like keeping things light! except when I fly...😅
To each his own. I'm glad that you've found what works for you and if I was rich I would've probably kept it too. I already have a nice laptop that I love and found I rarely use my iPad to type, so the Magic Keyboard is unnecessary for me. Even the Logitech is a little unnecessary since I pretty much keep the keyboard detached. I just love the reclining angles for writing and drawing and that is it much more protective.
