but who doesnt ... tbh they could made so much better things and make like when they released the gpx superlight... that forced most of the companies do something too
@@JF-iw8ob this has been a huge bummer of a year for mice releases from the bigger companies. I was really excited for a viper mini pro and the refresh of the superlight and we all got fucked over on both.
@@flap7ack i 1000% agree, gpx shape is mid, switched to atlantis mini but it broke so I had to go back to gpx 😭😭😭😭😭😭, worst part is they wouldnt rma it because it didnt look visible but it sure as hell felt like it
Whatever they did to the scroll wheel could be related to the fact that many of us with GPX 1 had issues with the scroll wheel actuating the reverse direction of what user input was, started happening on my copy after about a month.
The powerplay mouse pad is ranked like 83 on Amazon’s best selling “gaming mice” category making it the 6th best selling gaming mouse pad on Amazon (truly shocking when I stumbled upon that info) and cant blame them for including it. What better way to lock a consumer into the Logitech brand than a $130 mousepad/wireless charger is there lol
I literally bought and and used it for a week max. Its way too small for my liking. Now I'm using the Razor Atlas Glass Mouspad and coudn't be happier.
Love this mousepad, I bought this 2 months after buying newly released g703, and used it since then. Mouse pad is great but they could do it much better, for example: smaller "hub" (you can bump into it sometimes when you play low sens), different sizes (just bought Ikea pad because of little size, will give it a try), rubber base (seriously, they could just make it plastic and you will not have problem with replacement of top layer but they did special version and you can't even buy new when old one wear off)
Real talk. I got the 2 and have the red(not magenta) one on preorder(January expected) Kind of nice cuz I went ahead and took out the switches and installed huano pink dots.
I don't go over 2k polling on my Viper V2 because I drop frames in CPU intensive games. To be fair, I also had been using 500hz polling until I dropped an X3d processor into my AM4 setup. I don't think there are a ton of gains to be made after 2k. Vaxee 1k polling competitive mode feels better than all of them imho
there are no gains - full stop period. at best you have the same latency at higher power consumtion (cpu and gpu) and BEST. more likely you add more latency, it can even be a lot more. 500 instgead of 1khz is a better choice than 4k/2k instead of 1khz. even tough 1khz is already kinda placebo. the reason why people are mislead is an either incompetent or willing misleading representation of a certain youtuber.. ofc the industry didnt complain and thankfully sell updates versions of that nonsense. the reason why for example the mousepointer is better visible on 2k/4k is simply microsoft limits its updates fractional. 1khz updates was already way way way to much. this is due to recalculations between the frames that are unnessesary. so tghe mouspointer visual is actually a lot lower than a high refreshrate display. the 2k/4k polling now kidna overrides that by spamming more into inputs. raising cpu latency raising cpu load (in linux you can now fill an enitire core with mousemovent alone) butg yea you get a frame accurate (or close to) mousepointer its just pointless games do not limit this, usually or limit it by framerate (like source engine). 500hz is more than fast enough to spam enough inputs to be in synch enough with your visuals pretty much frame accurate. razer introduced a sync feature which would gurantee in sync always but adds a ton of latency. in reality at 240hz 500 should be frame accurate most of the time and should always be 2 frame accurate
@@Divinity_vAthey’re prob just saving it for the gpx3 logitech’s hardware are easily some of the best and most reliable on the market, the expectations people had for the gpx2 was definitely not too high, when logitech went from the gpw to the gpx it was a massive jump 25% weight reduction but from the gpx to the gpx2 it’s just a 5% decrease plus the optical clicks on the g502x were flawless but for some reason the gpx2 they’re wack
Personally, i like my superlight 2. The clicks are definitely heavier but feel more premium and tactile. The sensor implementation feels great, really smooth. The shape is basically the same with a slightly drier coating. I already liked my superlight 1, but ive also had the starlight 12, viper v2, deathadder v3, lamzu mini, and x2 mini. So far im going to keep using the superlight 2 as my daily. I would say only get it if you really like the gpx shape and want heavier, more premium switches. The increase due to the hero sensor/2k is somewhat negligible.
is it really worth it tho, the black gpx is selling for 75$ without shipping on maxgaming rn is paying double that price worth it just for new clicks and a sensor that will feel the exact same to even the og hero sensor?
@@toastymctoastinson I mean it depends on what you mean by worth it. Different people have different financial situations, and to an enthusiast collector, it is significant enough of an upgrade to check it out. But you definitely don't NEED to upgrade if you already have the v1. The only main difference is the clicks, and the improvement due to the sensor/2k is fairly marginal. Literally everything else is the same. If you're happy with your V1 and you can't afford to drop $160 on a very similar mouse, then yeah it'd totally not be worth it. But if you just like collecting mice or were desiring heavier, more tactile clicks for your V1 with a slightly upgraded sensor, then I'd say the upgrades would be worth it. For a person who has never owned a superlight, debating to get the V1 or V2, the main difference would be if you want the lightest, spammable clicks, go V1. For a 10% better sensor experience and heavier, more tactile clicks go V2.
Played val with mine for a few hours last night.. the clicks grew on me really fast and I actually really like them. Only things I don't like is the noise but if you have headphones on it wont matter. As for the 2k, it feels great and have no complaints. Honestly, as a mouse enthusiast I am loving the slight upgrades so far (all but the horrible GPX skates as per usual). Do I wish they did more, yes.. but still a great mouse compared to competition.
The GPX2 is a really weak offering from Logitech especially considering mice like the gwolves hts+ and the ninjutso sora 4K that are lighter cheaper and better response time that’s not to mention the pulsar mice that are coming out as well
@@obumbrataetvelatamichiquoq9085 I hope regular people, not just enthusiasts, start favoring mid sized companies more over Logitech. G-Wolves, Ninjutso, Pulsar, Lamzu, EGG are all great companies. If that were to happen, Logitech losing a big market share might make them more innovative. We're already heading in the right direction. I mean 4 years ago in Pro CS the mice pros were using were split 33.3% Zowie, 33.3% Razer, 33.3% Logitech. In pro VALORANT It's a lot more varied. ASUS, EGG, Finalmouse, G-Wolves, Lamzu, Pulsar, and a surprisingly high share of VAXEE are all being used in top level.
@@obumbrataetvelatamichiquoq9085 I have an HTS+4k, good mouse but if I had to choose between both I would still take the GPX 2 based on overall build quality and sensor performance (despite the fact it is only 2k). Not sure about the Sora. The 2k implementation on the GPX feels better to me than both the Lamzu and hts+ implementations, only mice I would recommend over it are Razer if you prefer their shapes. However, this is all just opinion.
@@Divinity_vAMicro USB probably isn’t a dealbreaker for most, but I held out for the USB-C version. I used to own a G900, and Micro USB’s latching mechanism and mechanical design are inferior. The fact that Logitech had to reinforce the connector with the ‘fang’ connector is further evidence of that.
although it could say 2000Hz on the box, there is a possibility of a separate 4000Hz/8000Hz dongle being sold with the capability of binding to the GPX2
I've been waiting for a wireless Logitech mouse with USB-C. However, I'm still waiting for the G703 Superlight with USB-C. I'm using my G403 until then. When it breaks, I'll get another G403, or maybe I'll finally go wireless with that Superlight 2.
Just to add here in the UK the Superlight is £129 and the Superlight2 is £149...would just buying the superlight2 be the right idea... when visiting store they only had a deathadder out and it felt a little short in the hand. Don't think it was the V3 pro...it's UK and not really a specialist store so not great place to check out pc kits
They might sell a 4k dongle later if they can't add it later the the out of the box dongle with a firmware update. Also it doesn't make sense to me that the wired polling rate can't be 2000 too.
Like I said in a Reddit post, the new batches of the GPX 1 have heavier clicks than a batch from 2-3 years ago. I would assume the clicks from the newer batches would be somewhat similar to the GPX 2 and if that’s the case, people be over exaggerating on yt 😂
I've got both and it's a noticeable difference (Original GPX, and a newer red one, and a GPX2) - I actually prefer the heavier clicks because I'm an idiot and I click by accident sometimes in games
I have big hands too and haven’t had any serious issues with it. Not gonna lie, the glorious model d feels best in my hands but I ripped a trace out of mine and have to order a new one
you can cover your mic with a sock to stop the pops and clicks from happening also too, figured youd add something on top of it, but it's been years and you havent. might make these vids even more shockingly high quality!!!
Did they change the middle mouse click down to optical? I've broken the middle mousedown click on 3x superlights all of which happened in warranty at least.
I don't mind they didn't change the shape or did major upgrades/changes on the mouse, its their most succesful mouse if not top 3. If they change too much, then people would be complaining that why they deviate from the original concept that was succesfull etc, its impossible to please everyone. If something works, why change it (i mean the mouse shape).
Made my own endgame setup with the powerplay mat, used some corkboard and a layer of thin cardboard to extend the size and am rocking a artisan zero pad on it with my modded g pro superlight.
for me, the optical switch is more than enough. I already liked the superlight but it failing on switches 2 times in mere 6 months was awful experience for me that I ended up switching to viper v2 pro (hated viper v2 pro lemme tell you) and now onto da v3 pro faker. For me, superlight 2 is an instant buy, the optical switch makes it last longer in humid environment, the usb c is just a quallity of life improvement, pretty confused why only 2k hz is included but hey, at least we dont need to buy a seperate dongle, 4 gram lighter is always welcomed, same shape and coating is always welcomed, but man the skates are ever so awful, at least its still going to be better than something like viper v2 pro which feels awful after 4 months of usage
I disagree I have both v2 and this one I retuned this one tried Logitech and didn’t feel right. The side buttons feel better on the v2 and the slides are better on the v2. I’m not a fan of the razer company but it’s better than the Logitech mouse. Logitech dropped the ball on this mouse sadly I was hoping to jump to them and stay away from razer but atm is a no with their mouse
well shape is totally subjective, I dont like my v2 pro, you might love it, its toally subjective. I like the shape of superlight more as I prefer a back hump on the mouse to provide me more moving power as compared to viper fingertip grip favorable design (otherwise the v2 pro is decent but not great at all, the buttons have creaks, insane post travel, scroll is awful, side buttons are decent, mouse feets are honestly disappointing, software is like always doesnt work many times but when it works it works, battery life is way lesser than superlight 1 probably due to optical switch, the only good thing about v2 pro is probably the shape for some people and the optical switch and capability of running 4000hz with hyperpoling dongle which IS NOT INCLUDED) @@x93Vanquish
@@PannyLanny yeah the dongle I had to buy separately sadly 30 dollars. To me the buttons feel great shape wise I do prefer gpx battery mine now drains more due to 4K hrtz dongle. Side buttons feel better on V2 than the gpx software I prefer anything that’s not synapse easily. The slides feel to me better on the V2 but I wouldn’t mind replacing either mouse with new ones or a different brand. Main let down of this mouse was nothing really changed but some tweaks and they are charging the same as the first gpx. If not the gpx2 would’ve easily blew most mouses out of the water being top 1 but I know EA pros will still use it since it’s a fan favorite in the EA industry
I mean, i don’t use a powerplay matt, that shit is absolute garbage, but I do have a charging dock i could use with this mouse that attaches on the magnets, it’s pretty dope. It looks cool, and is super functional, instead of having to grab a cable, i just put the mouse on there, and it SNAPS on. But honestly, that should be an optional product, it has no place in a professional gaming mouse.
now they need to upgrade and release new g703 , wish they could add bluetooth 5.2 and an extra pair of skates with every new mice launch and razer should also do that , overall a good upgrade for the gpx with internal upgrades , logi needs to release a new mousepad to compete with zowie , steelseries and release mice successor for g402, g102 , g305,g402 which had terrible double click issues , wtf is logi doing with these slow releases , i think the ceo is sleeping and the management is brain drained
Honestly you can't really go wrong. Despite having subpar specs compared to its competitors, it's still a really good mouse. Theres a reason why so many pros use a superlight, and the comfortable shape has a lot to do with it. I would suggest going to a Best Buy or Microcenter and trying out the display mouse to see if it feels comfortable in your hand. If it doesnt feel right in your hand, there are mice with better specs at better prices.
That was the most polite "I am moving you off my desk" to the cat which comes as a major shock given the absolute disrespect you show these kids when mincing them in Fortnite.
Hello Boardzy, I used to have the old version of the G Pro X Superlight, and there was this problem of yellowing of where you fingers are around only 2 months of usage (apparently it happened to mine, and there was a lot of complaints too online). Please update/reply to this comment if it does happen in the future, thank you.
my superlight is better and weighs 56g 😎 here is the recipe: - Logitech G Pro X Superlight (Red) mods - SoSpacer Grips V3 (White) - Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot mouse switch, TTC Gold Encoder - Kailh Blue Side mouse switch - "TJExclusives" 3d printed weight reduced base - Tiger Ice Skates
Does this mouse have motion sync ? 4k polling rate is great. but you need to charge it everyday. on this mouse you have 2000 polling rate with 95 hours of battery life. 4k polling rate isnt ready yet.
since I have both the og and v2 I dont see the point to continue using the OG if I enjoy more the clicks and sensor on the V2, I do hope they realease a 4k dongle at least and a GPX signature edition made of carbon fiber to make it even lighter, but thats probably too much to asks.
I heard you mentioning that the stock mouse skates on the GPX are not great and after some use they go bad and this is an especially prevalent issue on control pads. Hearing this I immediately got worried because i have had the GPX for a year and i have an Artisan Zero soft. What PTFE skates can you recommend for me who plays valorant and enjoys control pads (i dont want no super duper ultra slow skates)
I have gpx with core pads and think the new pads might be better. One different thing I do with mine is I use a glass puck on it. Gives it a really unique mixture of speed but not so much that you get click drag errors with single clicks cuz it’s too slick
If you're serious about competitive gaming and have a high refresh rate monitor, then I would recommend it, but otherwise, I wouldn't because of the price
Boardzy, I’m upgrading mice and I have a question. What would you choose between the Endgame XM2we, and Lamzu Atlantis 4k? I have a 5600x w/ a 3060 so 4k might not work so well, but I’m still not sure if I should splurge on a 4k mouse or not. Also do you have any other recommendations for a mouse around that price range? Btw I mainly play Valorant and Aimlab.
Wow. Mb, lol. You literally have a video on how to choose between the two. Still tho, what do you think the minimum specs are to play w/ a 4k mouse comfortably?
I bought 3 Logitech G Pro X Superlight mouse batches from my local game store in my country, and each one of them had different issue. The first one in Black had to quite and mushy clicks feedback with a hard scroll wheel. The second White one had an issue with the scroll wheel starting to be too sticky, and clicks were too much heavier. The third batch had too quite and mushy scroll wheel with better buttons clicks (no too quite and mushy and not too much heavy and tactile). Therefore, I want to buy the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 in White, but should I buy it from Amazon this time for a better experience instead of my authorized gaming local store in my country?
@@peanutbutter6165 Thank you! But if time isn't matter for me, would you still pick the local gaming store, even each mouse that I've got from them has had a small issue with it because of the batch itself? Or I should get it from Amazon? And did you guys ever tried getting a gaming mouse straight from Amazon and how was your experience from them?
@@st1ng2k70 Yeah, it's my endgame shape. Also, did you ever buy a gaming mouse from Amazon and how was your experience? Because I'm worried if the experience from the local gaming store in my country will be good with the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 mouse batches if I'm getting it from them, or I should get it from Amazon for a better experience?
what? a lot of people use power play.. using one right now and it beats using any type of usb.. its one of the best things Logi G has created. other companies tried to copy it but doesnt even compare.. as for the skates i use the sapphire skates and in my opinion i think they are the best skates i ever have used.. u can keep transfering them from mouse to mouse with the included 3m tape and they are virtually indestructable.
So can you confirm that the skates/feet from GPX1 are not compatible with the GPX2? Cause this completely sucks. I have a ton of mouse skates for the GPX1. If this does not work and with the lack of true updates for GPX2 then I will skip it.
The USB-C alone would be enough for me to get this as a companion to my OP1we as two replacements for my aging 305. Seems like the only downside is the skates and sidebuttons.
its not much of an upgrade, but i went ahead and picked one up anyway cause ive had my GPX since it came out, and its starting to spin out from time to time lol. 2k hz and no spinout is a worthwhile trade up.
yeah the superlight 2 is basically the superlight 1 but with a 2% improvement, still i have some complaint for the superlight and the second version and that is it doesn't have the side button on the right side for some reason (probably cuz most people put their mouse in the right side so logitech just remove it entirely for weight saving)
EDIT: Just replaced the crap mouse feet with brand new EspTiger Arc 1 Mouse Skates for Logitech G Pro X Superlight. They fit though I had to cut the bottom half circle part a bit short. Feels 100000x better immediately. Just got mine, the feet are literally the worst feeling PTFE feet I've ever encountered. They are sticky, inconsistent left to right. Played with it like that for a few hours and noticed the wear pattern on the teflon feet was all over the place. Can't believe logitech cheaped out with that garbage.
I have the original gpw from 2018 would it be worth it to upgrade to the new super light or maybe wait for the new final mouse reviews to see how people like it. Any thoughts?
I hate the tactile feeling with the new Superlight 2 .. I'm not going to be able to adjust to that and still enjoy myself. It requires too much force compared to the OG.
I got one just because i can get ANY mechanical switch to double click, idk if its me, or something in my environment, but ive been on razer optical for awhile now, however the deathadder is weird for me to lift with the straight sland on the right side, and the viper is just a little too small for my hands(6'3") however its what ive been using for months, original g pro was always my favorite shape on a mouse so im happy to try it
As much as I like this mouse, I hate that the finish on mine started wearing off within the first 6 months... super annoying. And thanks for USB C? ...finally? I stopped using powerplay because it stopped working...and started making an odd electronic hum in my headphones when it was charging; super annoying. Also just had to change the skate just enough to irritate peeps who stocked up on those after market glass skates? Super annoying... I'm noticing a trend. lol I got half a mind to go back to using a razer... no joke.
