Used the Master 2s for a long time ever since its launch. It's been a great mice ever since I bought it from 2017. It was a great mousing companion after-all. I shared all the gestures and it beared it all. The thumb wrist button gave up and it also led to the side scroll wheel and the side buttons giving up. The master 3s was a great upgrade after all. It did overcome all the short-coming of the master 2s. Its everything I wanted on my Master mice. I was waiting for the master 2s to give-up like around 10 yrs but it gave up in the everyday use of 7 yrs and then upgrade to master 4. But I'm planning to keep the master 3s longer than 10 yrs and running. Hope it lasts that long before upgrading to the next master mice. The 2s was worth its price-tag when I bought. So I hope that the 3s can outlive the 2s. The app gesture controls and the smart actions are absolutely fantastic and useful. Now I kind of have more than a 100+ gestures in a single mouse only for various diff applications. Imagine with the mx keyboard, I can have a lot more. The smart actions were an absolute banger in my productivity. Once you started using, you can't go back without not using it.

Thanks for comparing the click loudness! I wasn’t sure if my copy of the Anywhere 3S was slightly louder on purpose or if something was wrong. I agree with your comparison! I also really like the MX Master 3S’ ergonomics but also enjoy having the smaller size of the Anywhere 3S in my bag. Thanks!

Just considering to order a new office mouse as successor to my anywhere mx(1). The scroll wheel wears off from sweat, the switches accidently double klick (bounce), the outer rubber surface is worn down to the hard surface below. At home I do have a very old microsoft intellimouse explorer 3 from the last millenium. It still works like charm. No issue with the micro switches whatsoever. Only the gap for the scroll wheel needed to be enlarged somewhat, since the rubber wheel slightly grew over time. Also the thin rubber coating the outside needed to be removed. (It was easy to be scratched off). I don't like sticky surfaces, which are almost impossible to get rid of. No Idea why all logitech mice fail this early. Engraved micro switch marks at the stamp which pushes the switch in the first place. Poor switch quality as well? And inferior outside material which gets even more sticky and fails. More durable hardware would be important in order not to overuse the planet. We once had (or still have 😉).

Great review! One thing to add: I am right-handed, my wife is left-handed. It is really hard for a left handed person to use a Master meant for a right handed. The anywhere is more "universal" in that regard.

I would love to like mx master 3s but I move my hand the way I need to move mouse by physically raising it. It’s not possible or very inconvenient with big brother. So I got Mx anywhere and couldn’t be happier. Also if someone on Mac please be aware that their logi options app is crap. Better get alternative like mos or steer mouse. They cost cheaper than McDonald’s…

I usually use the Pulsar X2 mini for gaming, but after buying the MX Master 3S and using it for work for a while, I've been experiencing a lot of pain in my wrist. Will it get better if I stick with it for a while longer, or should I switch to the MX Anywhere? Are these two scroll wheels the same? I really like infinite scroll, and I don't use side scroll wheels anyway.

They need to do a large version of Anywhere. A regular version. It'll be great! I just want a mouse with this same scroll as MX Master. I bought one and it's great, but the mouse is too heavy and big even for me with big hands.

I don't understand why Logitech removed the tilt wheel function. The tilt wheel offered more than just horizontal scrolling; it could also be used to quickly switch between desktops and tabs. I'm happy with my G604 and it's the last.

I can't install Logitech Options+ on my work PC as company IT wont allow it. Can I set it up on my personal PC and then switch the mouse to work PC? Can I still keep custom functions?
@AntBTun
@AntBTun Год назад
I'm not sure if it's the same as mine but I can't either. It can connect if your work PC has regular BT. You don't NEED to download the program but if your company blocks it you can't customize settings. It will just use the default windows setting for those extra buttons. Where I am at, you can reach out to tech department to ask them if you are allowed to and they might let you.

@weirjwerijrweurhuewhr588

@@adamtalkstech TBH I'm still looking for something myself. However, the fact that a mouse in this price class is less responsive than my cheap old HP mouse (although that one is wired) is disappointing to say the least. Keychron m6 looks promising though. Offers a lot more features and better polling rate compared to Logitech and at a much lower price point. Logitech's design is great though, I still think no mouse looks better than the MX. I hate all the gamer style hardware.
@Mizi08
@Mizi08 9 месяцев назад
Ummm these are clearly productivity mouse so there's no need for high polling rate? Get a separate gaming mouse instead
@weirjwerijrweurhuewhr588
@weirjwerijrweurhuewhr588 9 месяцев назад
@@Mizi08 If you use a monitor with high refresh rate you still notice the lagginess of this mouse even during productivity work. It's just not smooth. Remember that this is a 'top of the line' mouse. On top of that people experience the rubber getting sticky / coming off after a while, the scroll wheel being inconsistent, no built-in memory, and their software being absolute shit. Why do you need to keep a software running fulltime just to be able to change mouse settings? Lots of companies don't even allow employees to install software on their PCs, so those people cannot customize anything. Makes no sense for a productivity mouse either. And not everyone wants a gaming mouse. Gaming / RGB stuff tends to look horrible.

@@weirjwerijrweurhuewhr588 I have the non-ms anywhere 3 for almost 2yrs now with little to no wear on the skates. I mostly used it for work when I need to go to office or client The skates were designed to be used on any surfaces including glass. My guess is that the users you're listening from a mostly using them on rough mousepads. These mousepads tends to favour glass skates. If I'm wfh I just use Razer Orochi.
