Great video, thank you. I use a webcam for work and already have the brio 4k but need a second webcam. Was gonna update to the new one but definitely just gonna repurchase!
Never seen better video than this one.. I was watching this video directly from google search page but the way you talk about things, and made comparison it took me here on youtube and gonna subscribe to you.. you deserve it
Thanks for an excellent side-by-side comparison. My perspective is that if you took the time to create a well-lit space, then the upgrade is not worth it. If however, you travel and do not have control over your lighting as in hotel rooms, then the MX makes a lot of sense. Great video, informative, clear and complete. Cheers,
I just got the MX, upgraded from Brio. The MX is a real pain in the neck to mount on my monitor. I mainly use it on my laptop so having it attached 24/7 is not an option because I open and close my laptop all day long. I see that they put some sticky stuff on the bottom part of the camera but have yet to remove the sticker because again I am going to take my camera off and on all day long. I'm not sure why Logitech did this because on the Brio I always can just slap it on top of the monitor anytime I need to. It seems like the lip that holds the MX is not good enough to hold on.
посмотрев ваше видео, выбрала для себя BRIO и очень рада покупке! Она прекрасная, даже не ожидала, очень цветопередачей похожа на Iphone как не странно)) спасибо огромное за подробное сравнение!
Not a fair comparison with brio 4k and mx brio 4k in regard to "image quality." Why? The mx brio 4k is not "zoomed in" as much as the brio 4k. Hence, the reason you could not see the letters on the chart on the wall as good. Sound quality on the mx brio 4k is TONS BETTER than the brio 4k. Also, the mx brio 4k has the brio 4k beat in low light HANDS DOWN... The majority of my content is created in low light situations. Thank you for taking the time to compare all three models, mate! Stay Awesome! < fist pump >
What exactly do you mean? The video was captured by all 3 cameras simultaneously--so literally the exact same lighting. And the "zoom" is not different, each camera has a different FOV...?
Sorry dude, that comparison is awful. It's clear that in low light MX Brio automatically increased exposure time / dropped fps. You should have put brio 4k at least in 30fsp mode with the same lighting settings.
Them getting rid of the Windows Hello is a deal breaker to me. What a wild decision. The jump between the Brio 4K and MX Brio also seems minimal. I'll stick with my Brio 4K. Thanks for saving me $200.
@@anocri I bought it for more than just Windows Hello. Windows Hello was a nice bonus. And now that I've got it, I wouldn't want to get rid of it. As it does provide better security, takes less time, and have some other helpful things regarding passwords in other programs saving even more time. Which stacks up over time. I mostly got it for higher resolution, wider picture (that has more adjustability), better colors, and better performance in low light. Among some other things. My C920 wasn't performing well. I was spending way to much time trying to get an acceptable picture than actually using it. The Brio isn't perfect by any means. Hence my interest in the new product to see if it fixed the other issues. It has not. Therefore, not only does it not have Windows Hello but doesn't fix anything either. Making it a no go.
@@RawansReviews 6.32 for example when you go from brio 4k to brio mx , looks like the frames are really bad compared to brio 4k ... a lot of ghosting, not dropping just a constant ghosting ... might be related to exposure setting ? I really want to upgrade my webcam but this is the only relevant clip for me and it did not convinced me to switch :)
Thanks so much for this review. Based on the lack of Biometric support, sticky mount, and poor looking camera, your side to side review means Im passing on this 'downgrade'!
Really great video, thanks! One question for you is can you compare the "FPS" on these? It's almost like they are running < 24 FPS, seeing a bunch of jumpy motion. Could be your computer, could be the hardware, are there settings for FPS?
i have the mx brio and logitech brio 4k and the fps on both webcams are 1080p 60 fps and 4k 30 fps also idk why this guys brio has such bad image quality i guess every units different but my mx brio looks way better than the logitech brio
What happened to LOGITECH!!! downgraded in quality itself!!! It's not grateful to find out that the latest version of the webcams (supposed to be the best of bests) is the worst and dragging lag. It is a good Mic improvement so far, but I prefer by far the previous version for PC (4K PRO WEBCAM). After this review, the MX BRIO...sucks..., sorry Logitech, I've been one of your greatest fans ever since teenage but now, disappointed, sorry...
Please do video of MX settings. I want horizontal flip. If they don't have they stupid. I gave logitech feedback about this. Reason I sold my 4K brio. David
I noticed some frame rate degradation when you switched between the Brio 4K and the MX Brio. The MX Brio seemed more "framey" to me, at least in these comparisons.
You did not cover what was important for me to know; The shot I like of myself is a lit face but a mostly dark background. The webcam I use right now doesn't seem to be center-weighted for exposure and so it brightens the whole frame when most of the room is dark and my face is way over-exposed. I'm looking for a webcam that can detect the light on your face and adjust for that.
Can you post the firmware version for the MX Brio? There's an update out as of March 7, 2024 with "improved image quality in low light conditions". MX Brio / MX Brio 705 for Business - (ver: 1.0.390) - Improved image quality in low light conditions. - Resolved issues between automatic and manual white balance settings. - Improved ability to store settings in the webcam.
MX Brio definitely shows lower FPS maybe because of that "AI magic" working under the hood, but in general it does not help to improve quality over Brio 4K.
Great review! I am considering this MX Brio as my new webcam. One question though, what if I needed to change monitor after months or years of using the MX Brio, would the adhesive be less sticky on my new monitor? This will be a problem isn't it?
Not sure how “reusable” the stickiness would be. That was also a concern of mine, which is why I didn’t really appreciate their new mounting system! If you do get this and it’s no longer sticky, worst case, you can probably reapply an adhesive matt or nano tape.
@@RawansReviews it's not adhesive but rather lots of tiny suction cups. It is completely washable and reusable.. I was worried at first but no need. It is very portable!
I've watched 5 videos so far on the Logitech and this review was excellent, I thank you so much for taking the time to create, produce and edit such an informative video! Thank you for your channel!
You are using on the MX 95 view which make everything smaller but you got more space to see. If you turn it to 78 than it will be like the 4k of size and you will see the background bigger and better on the MX . I got the MX and it is crazy webcam
i'm tempted because of the mic and low-light improvements but I don't actually use my webcam much anymore. As a gear junkie I do want the new shiny thing but my Brio hasn't done much in the last couple years outside of logging me in to my pc with windows hello.
This is a really good review, great job. I ordered mine yesterday and it's currently siting in a BestBuy locker for me to pick up, but I'm too lazy lol. Thought I'd get to know the camera via a comprehensive review first before getting my hands on it. The low light image quality is way better than its predecessor, and you can really hear the difference in the mics in terms of voice quality. Pretty cool. The new Show Mode is a nice feature too, they definitely borrowed that from the BenQ webcam.
Question about the MX Brio..does it need to be running software in order to look decent? I’m currently using a Huddly cam that has all the settings saved in the camera(settings like zoom and brightness) so there isn’t any dsp heavy software running in the background. Just wanna see if that’s the case with these cameras.
The images you saw were default settings. I purposely left everything on default, didn’t play around with any settings. So this should be what you would get if you just plug in
Great review. With proper lighting the Brio 4k looks WAY better. The MX looks overprocessed. The 4k also SOUNDS better in your test. Output is lower but also less distorted, like a mic with lower gain on. The mic on the MX sounds distorted and may be clipping. I'd get the 4k over the MX.
Of course, the Brio Mx is easily better, the foreground. On your video calls and streaming videos people want to see a clear face of yours than the background, and the Brio Mx is easily superior in that regard. Do you think Logitech does not know what they are selling and can sell anything by giving a new name and for a higher price? 🤦🤦♂🤦♀
wow MX BRIO is so good. captures much more light so when tunning can be less noisy and detailed. his mics are so damn good. i'm glad the Logitech camera has finally 8.0+ mpx. the bokeh, and all in general, about the image quality, can be caused by the larger sensor size, and the high aperture of the sensor/lens. my phone has a focal lenght of f1.4 and is incredible. my phone captures so much light and reduces it the noise in low light situations because i can lower the ISO. the bokeh is natural from the sensor and lens. but in this case from the MX BRIO has a little bit of that virtually. THIS IS JUST A LINEAL STOCK COMPARISON OF THE CAMERAS. they haved to be tuned in order to be perfect. just adjust them thinking they are DSLR cameras. when you set less fps, the more light will enter to the sensor doubleing the shutter speed value from the fps value, and can lower the ISO much more, making the image so detailed and less Noisy, with great fidelity, no motion blur. Exposition setting is ''Shutter Speed''. Gain is ''ISO''. adjusting those values first and then the others you will get a nice video quality. from them you can tweak the other settings. i have a C920 (camera from 2011) and look like this. cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/924216389332508713/1244982005796438118/WIN_20240528_07_52_57_Pro.jpg?ex=66571758&is=6655c5d8&hm=3ba198a1b1ed7fa5de2be079d4257e1c843fbe06490f19a5d5c37bff46bd6a07& this are my settings. i just use a mini ring light and room light with 2 bulbs on the ceilling. cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/924216389332508713/1244983757929447435/image.png?ex=665718fa&is=6655c77a&hm=040ece3bf06eb5337664d884d64dac0b5a8340d58aa4cb732344b0e7fc4e4dec&

I own the Brio 4k for 3 years and it's very good... the only thing I have sometimes problems with Microsoft Teams with the camera turning off and giving errors if I use the camera microphone at the same time. If I use earbuds or headphones then everything is ok. But this only happens with Teams, and not with the rest of applications...
can you turn off the audio background noise software? I play drums and have music playing and ive found that my phone makes it sound horrible with audio background noise filter it has and i cant turn it off..
MX Brio cheats by using a slow shutter speed/framerate to improve brightness results in quite stuttery video. Prefer the smooth motion of the Brio 4k even though it's noisier in low light
While originally content to get the C922, you've shown just how different the other models are in comparison. The MX Brio really stands out in low light, I'm hoping future software updates will help it catch up to the Brio 4K's performance in standard light, so I'm going to save for the MX.
Love that you included the C922 here! Logitech's gear and how it stands the test of time for such a long period of time (especially given this day and age constantly creating new gear!) I was super impressed with how the MX Brio was able to handle low-light, but definitely disappointed with how it handled normal/typical daytime scenarios compared to how the Brio 4K performed. I didn't even know that the Brio 4K had the ability to be used for Windows Hello/facial recognition, so definitely low what I'm going to grab now!!
Sound is much better, Picture is better than the 922 and better than the old Brio 4K in low light, picture harmonics is always better (colors and much more stable picture). I think it is a bit too expensive but it is the best you can get.
Glad this was helpful! Wouldn't use any for taking photos, but if I was to pick, I'd go with the MX Brio for its larger sensor and better low-light performance.
Haven't tried with any, but my reasoning is you need the best light for effective green screen removal, so I would pick the one with the largest sensor = lets in most light, and that's the MX Brio.
Amazing comparison, i will be doing remote work with many hours jet lag so i need a cam that clear the image in early morning time with low light and boost my voice as i can’t speak up. Im definitely going with the mx.
Excellent video comparison 👏 I think what you're seeing with the MX Brio (not being as clear in the back ground) is just a little bit of depth of field with there improved auto focus, and I believe those adjustments could be changed in their software... But probably one of the best videos I've seen on this device, and I just ordered one; so I'll be able to see for myself 👍 Thanks again!
Watched until you said it can't do Windows Hello Face ID sign in. Most important feature for me. Without it, no point in even considering the the new MX model camera. Thanks for the review.
HI. I saw your video (beautiful video, congratulations) but I couldn't understand well (I'm Italian and I struggle to understand English, in fact I'm now using a translator). I have to buy a good webcam and my doubt is which one to get, mx brio or brio 4k. However, I would only use it for 1080p 60fps. Can you help me decide? the price is similar and I would like high video quality. Tysm
