I've had my MX3 since they were release and its mostly quiet at this point. Also if you don't mind an extra device on the desk try using the mouse and trackpad. I use the magic trackpad on my left and the mouse on the right. I find it works really well when switching space or some of the mutli finger gestures. This allows me to program a diff set of functions to the mouse.

Hey man! Thanks for the feedback 🙏 I also have the MX3, but the quietness of the 3S makes a lot of difference for me, I just couldn't tolerate the click sound anymore 😅 I also have the Magic Trackpad, which was the main device I used for the pas years. I tried using it on the left and it's definitely a good way to use it, but my left hand touches it while using the keyboard and it's annoying. It's good having it for zooming in on websites and programs. I configured the button under the thumb of the 3S to scroll through windows and I find it so much better 🙌

Great comparison! I haven’t come across another video as thorough as yours. Question - the MX 3S I received has a scroll wheel with grinding sound when I scroll up and down similar to the sound heard at 0:54. Is that normal?

@@matdilisio Yes, I’ve started using that. I should have mentioned this is a replacement MX 3S for another one. The previous one seemed to make almost no grinding sound when doing short scrolling, so I wasn’t sure if that was an issue or just variation between units.

Thanks for the video! I just got this mouse and the thumb button on my MX Master 3S sounds and feels clicky like the MX Master 3. Is that normal or my mouse is defective?

Hi man! The button under the thumb shouldn't make any noise at all 🤔 mine is completely silent like in the 1:02 section of the video.

I have one! The only think I like about it is the design, the magic mouse in comparison is way better tho. But the Logitech MX3S beats them all 👌

thank you very much ☺️ it's actually a desk pad, which protects the desk from getting scratched. I normally use a felt mouse pad and it's much smoother and feels better 👌

Me sorprende que casi en ningun review se hable de los problemas de desplazamiento de la rueda de este mouse, ya que en los foros se habla mucho. Tengo un mouse de 20 dolares que funciona mucho mejor y reconoce todos los giros de rueda, este no lo hace, es muy inconstante y hay que girar muchas veces para que te reconozca uno, una decepcion total para un mouse que pudiera ser perfecto, pero por la deficiencia de una funcion tan basica como el scroll, no vale la pena el dinero gastado. Tampoco te reconoce bien los giros de rueda cortos, hay que hacerlos largos y despacio, si te vas muy rapido deja de agarrar el scroll hasta que se va al modo giro infinito(lo cual es muy rapido) He probado en Windows y Mac, con bluetooth y receptor, y claramente no es un problema ni de software, ni de velocidad de respuesta, sino del mecanismo que se usa para este tipo de scroll
