Just purchased the Logitech K350 from a thrift store that was without a receiver $4 . It wouldn’t work even though I had a unifying receiver. Followed your instructions by installing unifying software. 🎉 yahoo it works!
Thank you. I had it paired with mouse earlier and tried to connect the keyboard, which was the cause. Installed unifying software, unpaired the mouse, paired new device as keyboard following the off/on instructions and it was all set. Thank you again.
Thank you for the video, I already had a logitech keyboard paired to the computer nad assumed (hah!) that my new keyboard would automatically pair. Your advice about downloading the unifying software was spot on - the keyboard paired and worked immediately.
Totally going to try the Logitech unifying receiver. I have 3 logitech kb/mouse combos and one of them has a lost mouse. I picked up another mouse just for my laptop a few years back and use it as my travel mouse. It's by far the better mouse out of the 3, but it's standalone. I have a standalone KB from a KB/Mouse combo I lost the mouse receiver. I will definitely be unifying a KB/Mouse so I can use it for my home office. Thanks so much for the upload and tutorial!
Any keyboards that are Wifi are total rubbish mate. I have random times when the keyboard just stops working, no apparent reason, just stops working. I then have to reboot, restart do all kinds of things to get it working again. Initially it worked fine, but it does not take long for bad tech, so human tech to go wrong, does it?. Rubbish bit of kit, meant to save on space and cables, but a wifi keyboard is frustrating to use. Only one keyboard we should all buy, one with a cable that plugs into the back of the computer. Superior in every way.
Thank you so much! The video helped me to see that the mouse was connected but not the keyboard. Going into the Logitech Unifying advanced settings and pairing more devices was the last step that I did not look into! Thank you so much again!
Even after installing the software and following the steps you mentioned still keyboard or mouse does not connect to unifying reciever. This problem started as I first connected my keyboard using bluetooth and then came back to the USB connection and since then it is not working..
Our keyboard and mouse worked fine until our computer was hacked. Had the computer repaired, but now the mouse and keyboard don't work. Changed batteries, but neither one has the on light go on. Any ideas?
Thanks for this Todd. I tried everything but it still doesn't show up in the Logitech Unifying Software - and bizarrely, it only seems to regain connection when I hit the caps lock key around 15 times. Very, VERY weird and extremely annoying. Any ideas? Same keyboard K270 with the dongle into a USB hub going into a late 2012 Mac Mini. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the video! I tried downloading the logitech unifying software onto my MacBook but it says there are no downloads for operating systems beyond OS 10.13. I'm running 12.4, do you think it will still work? Or any other suggestions?
Rubbish bit of kit. It is the same with all human wifi stuff, is utter rubbish. I constantly have issues with the keyboard just stop working, no reason for it at all, random, "Oh I am just not going to work". So you do everything to rectify the problem, and it is never the batteries. Random problems with anything wifi, is the norm with human tech, which is backwards, not very efficient and poor quality. DONT BUY A WIFI KEYBOARD UNIT, OF ANY BRAND. You buy a keyboard with a cable that goes into the back of your laptop or computer.
Ok, my problem is that after buying the full-size wireless combo From Logitech am haveing a very hard time connecting it to use with my mobile. I also purchased the extension to place the Other little part.(don't know the name). Please help me figure this out.
Thanks Todd. Brand new K580 keyboard and the USB receiver doesn't work it seems. The unifying software resolved the issue. But why does the physical USB not work? I tried this in a laptop and in a desktop and used different USB ports as you suggested, to ensure I didn't have a faulty USB port. Yet none of these things worked but the unifying software did. So now when I take my keyboard to use on someone else's computer, I have to download the unifying software. What a pain!! The physical USB is what I needed but hey, you fixed my current problem and for that I am very grateful. Thank you Todd.
Thank you very much for your video. I was able to solve my problem with the Logitech Unifying Software suggestion. For some reason there were other devices parented to the dongle, I deleted all of them including the K400, and then re-parented it and DONE! I hope this is helpful for someone having the same problem
K330 changed batteries nada light off turned on but again nada. Stupid question, is mouse to wireless connected , meaning if mouse works so should keyboard ? Help. Hey I'm 70yo dummy lol idk.
Just saying thank you, that last tip about downloading the software finally reconnected both my mouse and keyboard. I had unplugged the receiver in order to use them on a different device and when I put it back into my computer neither device worked. I don't know why I needed to download software for them this time when I had just plugged and used before, but whatever they work now.
I feel like such a dunce. I didn't even notice the on/off button on my keyboard until I watched this video! LOL Thank you for helping a doofus like me!
My mouse and keyboard do not respond i have put new battery's in each and there are no lights on the mouse or keyboard went to Logitech web sight and downloaded unifying receiver and the mouse nor keyboard show up. i have tried this on both my laptop and my desktop an it is not working any ideas
Thanks for the video, and walking through the various steps. Sometimes its a simple thing, like weak batteries or distance, sometimes it's more. Well-done! Thanks!
My problem was "the keyboard was too far from the receiver". When I say too far, I mean 30 cm far. I had to bring the keyboard 1cm near the receiver and only then the unifying software managed to connect to it. Thank you for the video.
I think my problem was that I had two receivers plugged in. One for my mouse and one for my keyboard and they were conflicting with one another. Paired them both to only one receiver with the Unifying Software and it seems to work better. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks Dude! I had already changed out the battery to no avail, but changing the USB location did the trick. Was about to throw away my beloved keyboard!
Hi Todd great video but skip one point there is one more problem when plug unifying device the problem I cant see the device on the list I have a brand new K295 silent touch but the keyboard sometimes gone even I changed the batteries
