The z5500 model subwoofer is loud, with a low pass filter it gets louder on the lows. But the satellite speakers are rubish

Some people ride bikes and others enjoy squeezing into skimpy lycra to ride ultra light, expensive bikes... At the end of the day it's only bike riding...

This subwoofer gets hot after few minutes and temperature do increase as you use

Hehe :) Generally sounds in different machines are quite similar now a days. If not, then you probably 'believe' rather than perceive. I run with an almost 15 year old system and that is the best for me. But it is like that just because i have listened so long on it. The ears adapts to systems quite rapid, at least in general :)

how can you hear and judge a surround system sound quality on a stereo speakers recorded with a mono microphone?! Just, LOL... also, quality of the sound mostly depends of a source and recording, playing music from RU-vid will not get you a pro sound even if you play it on 10K Euro system, so. Connect 2+2.

JBL Family for me the z906 is better

The z2300 has louder bass, but the z906 has cleaner bass mostly due to not having a high pass filter as aggressive as the one on the z2300

I think that they are good, not perfect, but good. For the price i dont think that you will find something better, maybe the only one choice [Edifier s350D] Edifier has a lot better sound quality, but not as loud and it is not with 5 speakers!

And the subwoofer... what can i say, is big and hit harder than z-5500, pure bass not distorsions and the boom boom from sub for no reason like logitech. I really don't care about the money, this edifier is fenomenal... literally a beast. And btw i have already the z-906, is cheap and bad in comparation.

@@xNightCoree Well, for me 2 z906 are better than one edifier s760D, even in my country i can buy 2 z906 with 1 z623 for the price of 1 edifier s760D, i think that i would go with logitechs(my opinion). I dont care of sound quality, well i do, but not as that as loudness and bass

I stil use the z-906 on my tv, with logitech i can get signal on all speakers with optical cable no metter what i watch.

You can achieve surround sound from your ps4 when you connect the ps to your TV with HDMI cable, then optical cable from TV to these speakers and you are ready to play your games at truly surround sound!

It supports 5.1, but it is important does your tv support it?

It does support native 5.1. Just disable your encoder. (No lights on 2.1, 4.1 or 3D) but tbh, if you are going to watch movies, the 3D decoder setting is much better on these than native 5.1... The best part is, you only need a stereo source. So if your TV is stereo only, no problem. For music however, stick to 4.1. The 3D decoder is janky with music. As for netflix dolby digital, it is certified. But you need to enable dolby sound on your TV. Once activated, I believe it overrides the console decoder settings. Meaning you dont have to configure anything other than your volume.

all motherboards made in the last 10 years have an integrated soundcard with 5.1 analog capabilities AT LEAST. Most even have a HDMI pass through or an optical out

maybe you mean laptop, then no, you can't play 5.1 by default, but you can buy a cheap external sound card with the required 5.1 connections to regular 3.5 jack

Antony Dann bro, dont waste your money with sony, yamaha or pioneer, they are so expensive because of their brand, they cant compare with Logitech z906, logitech has 8 inch driver for bass, sony has 6,5 inch woofer, overall the sub is not as big as Logitech. Overall as i said dont waste your money on expensive brands, buy the beast-Logitech z906 and you will be perfect!
