Wow! I really want to test out the print library feature more in depth. I saw a video where a guy was putting tags because he had books in Kindle and Apple Books too... I need to explore that further. thank you Pastor for this powerful tutorial. .

I have been using it since my junior year of Bible College and have used it for Sunday school teaching, VBS, and now use it as I prepare my sermons. I will most likely upgrade from 9 to 10 in the near future. Some great new features. Keep studying and preaching the Word, brother.

Thank you for the overview. I’ve been using the sermon builder a lot more. Its taken some getting use to, but looking forward to continuing and implementing the new features. Plus, loving the markup on the ipad, been waiting for that for a while now
The only real complaint that I have is the limited support of learning the program. I know that there are some basic getting started videos that are great but after dropping over 3k$ to find out that I have to spend more in order to gain more training is more than frustrating. Still though I am wading through it all and learning more every day. I am genuinely shocked at how much came with my investment. Should have bought into it decades ago.
I enjoy your content. I have been in media for years. Just wanted to give you some solid advice. If you lower the background music more, it helps for those trying to play your video at an increased volume, such as on a television or for a classroom. I know it sounds good on your phone, but imagine being in a class room or on a pc with great speakers. Then the background music is too loud but if I lower it, I cannot hear you. I know sometimes having it low you think, people can’t hear that, but they can, an it’s great audio aesthetics. Keep up the good work. God bless.
I love the fact that they are using A.I. I am praying that they implement A.I. even more deeply to the point where there is a feature called sermon generator.
The translation feature is an answered prayer for those in bilingual ministry like myself. I think in English and I do not like to read in Spanish at all. I like to read and write in English but then I deliver sermons, teaching etc in Spanish. So sometime I have to have google translate open to quickly translate something I can’t think of at that moment
I wish there was a preaching mode built right into the app. That way you did not have to go online. This would be extremely helpful if somebody lost Internet connection. And having the option of having preaching mode in dark mode would be wonderful as well .
It gives more option than other programs but it is very expensive and mobile app is very neglected causing many issues that are not solved for many years. Also the desktop, web and ipad apps are not free from serious issues. For instance web and ipad apps does not allow to undo editing. Highlights of the text are not synchronised properly so in app they do not appear or are in the form of some ugly brackets, etc. Many other problems.
Another complaint I have, in the mobile app, when selecting lots of text and copying it, after copying it scrolls back up. I’d rather it stay where I left off incase I want to copy wants next and don’t have to scroll all the way back down again.
I didn't notice this much until you mentioned it. You're right. That is annoying. They're listening to feedback though. They've reached out to me and said they're sharing this with their team. So thanks for pointing this out.
An expansion package review would be good. I.e., Factbook package, Grammar Package, Textual Variants Package etc. Those are very specific outside the Main packages.
Yes, my biggest complaint is the sermon builder slide editing. In theory it’s an awesome tool, but functionally it’s not very efficient. I’m glad they did fix an issue where where after I choose 1920x1080 in size, as long as it’s one of their new slides and not old ones, then by default it will stay the same. Last version was so frustrating that it would always change to a smaller size when next slide was produced. Slide editing is still so slow though. They should stop using the cloud for it and just instantly be editable without any lag.
@@ProPreacherwhen you copy/ paste from logos into Word document, it automatically inserts your footnote. If you go to settings (button left corner), program settings, you can pick which footnotes style you want
I went from feeling a bit frustrated with logos to feeling really confident using it now with the upgrades to logos 10. I feel like they made it way easier for rookies to use it. Way more user friendly and for new users
Thank you for this comment. This put the exclamation point on the video for me. I have been feeling bad about the thousands I've spent on Logos over the years. I basically use it as a glorified Kindle; I only read on it, because it's been a bear to figure out. If the upgrade truly makes it "easier for rookies to use," I just might spend a little more for the basic upgrade so I maximize the $4k plus that I've spent over the years.

You did a great job. I just don't know what to buy. I may not exhaust enough of what I would be paying for. It would be just like me to buy to much or too little. Thanks for the honest overview! I saw a few of the new features and am considering jumping in to a Logos package for the first time. I heard you say the link was a 30% discount but your link takes me to a page showing 15%. Did Logos make a change on that?
@Pro Preacher - I currently have Logos 9 Silver. I’m looking at maybe updating to Logos 10 Silver and/or Logos 10 Full Feature Update. What do you suggest? I’m not in seminary and I’m not a preacher. I just looking to learn (and study) the Bible.
Regarding the Print library...does that mean you have full access to the print book on your logos software to read fully without purchasing it digitally or that it just can come up in your searches and give the references to look it up in the physical copy?
I have two complaints on the mobile side (android). (1) there's no setting to turn off download all. I want to select specific stuff to be on my phone and I did and downloaded it but after exiting the app and coming back it started mass downloading EVERYTHING I own. (2) when I want to copy to share a passage of the bible it'll only let me select what's on the screen if I try to scroll to select more in that copy it'll just disappear so I have to copy and paste in sections. other then that it's very nice but a bit pricey.
Can you use your stylus to write notes yet? I would love this feature when listening to other pastors and wanting to write quick notes in Logos so all my information is in one place
I love Logos and have used it for 15+ years. However, Logos 9's redesign was a step backward if you have many tabs open at once. (As a missionary, I usually have 3-5 versions of the Bible open in English and the same in Spanish.) Instead of showing the Bible abbreviation, the tabs show a tiny, useless thumbnail, a giant and equally useless link letter (A, B, etc.), and the X to close the tab. That means that (a) you can't find the Bible version tab you're looking for visually-you have to click or hover over the tabs one at a time; and (b) it's maddeningly easy to accidentally close a tab. Many users have complained online about this, but it looks like Logos 10 decided not to fix it.
I just acquired Logos 10 Gold and am seeking a tutor to work with me until I get the hang of it. Anyone know of a skilled tutor who's accepting students right now?
Yeah, I've thought about that but I don't want it showing up in my notes while using preaching mode. I think what I'm going to have to do for now is create my own endnotes.
Have you used the themed templates that includes slide themes for Title, Heading, Content, Verse references and quotes all with the same theme? Also you can search the media under the FIND MEDIA tab when editing a slide you can put the CS Lewis quote with a picture of CS Lewis or with a slide that has a thumbnail of the book the Great Divorce
I just have logos as a basic service but want to upgrade to get the sermon manager and sermon builder aspects, especially as I switch to a tablet for my notes, quick reading, and preaching. Does anyone have a recommendation for apple ios device or android ios device for that with the new logos? I primarily use apple products, but their prices keep me from upgrading very often.
Not sure. It shows up on my iPad in the main menu bar, but I have Gold. I'd encourage you to go to their website and ask. They typically have great customer support.
I have a question. My wife is Japanese, and I would like to translate certain things when teaching her about the Bible, etc. I currently have the "Logos 9 Diamond Package" and am considering updating the feature to "Logos 10 Features". Would you kindly check your Logos for me and let me know if the (Japanese 日本語) translation is available with the Logos 10 feature update? I was hoping you scroll a little more at the translation review in the video around 13:25 (lol). (I'm smiling as I write this, and I feel joy. Thank you for making this video.) Both are helpful tools. Sermonary is more simple, which can be good if it does all you need it to. Logos, on the other hand, has tons of features that Sermonary doesn't have for creating slides, handouts, fill in the blanks, studying a text, pulling in sources from your library, organizing a sermon database, etc.
I"m simply looking for an app to study the word personally without having multiple books open and/or searching for other reference material using my computer. While listening to this review I was quite concerned that any pastor would be using an app to deliver a sermon. What I really appreciate is a pastor who is 100% led by the Holy Spirit when delivering a sermon/message from God, that means that he (never she) has no idea what the sermon will be on Sunday because he is led by the HS not Logos and/or a carnal quote. That part is very disturbing. So God is not directing your path but an app is creating a sermon...
The poor cannot use logos, it is unfortunate that the prices are excessively high, I know they must earn some money but the truth is that what they charge is an abuse, it is a business with the word of God... The Software It seems to be magnificent but I will never be able to have it because of the high cost it has. Thank God for the free version of E-Sword, MySword, the magnificent MyBible, those developers thought of the good of their fellow men, of Blessing humanity with such wealth of resources, God Bless them for their goodness.
I get a feeling that the release of Logos 10 is more of a keeping up with a predetermined commitment to release something new at this point in time while there is not much that makes it worthy of buying it for a student of the Bible.
@@ProPreacher I use MS Office, and if it could integrate with it without as you say 'copy and paste' everything, I'd probably be more inclined to use it. For topics like theology and apologetics issues it's great. But sermon prep? I think I'll stick to Word and copy and paste Bible text. Either way we copy and paste! lol I do appreciate the video though. And I'm glad it works for you.
