I'm hopeful this is for me. I draw mind maps all the time when I get overwhelmed. I have all these notes in Joplin but it's like the opposite of my mind map and I just get overwhelmed and don't like to open up the app.
IMO Logseq gives you hierarchical tree-like organization at the lower level and networked ad-hoc organization at the top level. The best part is you get to pick at which point do you draw the line between the two ways.
This is brilliant, I wish this video had existed when I started looking at LoqSeq. The onestutteringmind videos are great but a bit fast paced (for me).
Super intro, very thorough. I'm just getting started with Logseq and this is exactly what I needed, beyond the very quick feature tour type of videos I have watched so far.
At 44m35s you mention that someone linked to some resources for links Vs text in a chat, and again at 56m30s you mention a link to the documentation for queries, but I don't see anywhere to access the chat today, a year later. Can you provide those links, maybe in the comments here or in the video description on RU-vid?
The idea suggested here is to simply write down the bullets in your journal (which are blocks). At any later time whenever you feel like creating a page where you want to reference or embed this block, you can choose to do that. Remember: pages are just a collection of blocks, and you can at any time decide to create new pages and add blocks in there from anywhere (usually your journal).
I started to use logseq but when i want to write my blog posts, copying text from logseq is not easy: sometimes i got text grouped in blocks. How can i have a clean export for using my notes in wordpress/ghost?
I don’t believe they have an export yet. Some people have used logseq for note taking and obsidian for longer forms of writing since you can use them (somewhat) together. I recommend that
When in Logseq document you want to export, click the three dots, and then export page - that allows you to select the format you want, whether to include dashes, indents, or none of those. You can then either export it or just select and copy and paste directly from that page (as it shows you a preview of all the text and what it will look like). Makes it easy to turn the outline into a straight document and copy and paste.
@@asfrank161 Is it possible to export all the results from a single query as a single text document? I need to be able to produce a single text document from some blocks on different pages.
@@Logseq yes, please do. I believe it could be very productive for many users as an extension of your presentation. I myself feel that I learn much faster if I can mimic-learn along with the video. I've noticed there are plenty of youtube video tutorials with example files. This greatly fostered my learning speed with other software. Many users could learn from that. But that is just my two cents. I'm just in love with Logseq. Thank you all developing this.
@@Logseq How do you think RemNote is more powerful? More powerful in the multiple ability to link rems (blocks): to tags , emojis, underscore colors, templates, etc. Power in flash cards with cloze image and spaced repetition highly developed and configurable compatibility with AnKi mode And where does Logseq stand out in your opinion? Very good task management Simplicity of use. Remnote's learning curve is very high. Remnote is not at all intuitive and has too many possibilities that are not at all clear.
Sometimes it can take a few seconds before a block reference counter updates. But it's a good practice to re-index a graph every now and then to clean up links and make sure all counters are up to date.
