Lohit Police Cracks Infamous Kidnapping and Murder Case in Lohit District :
In a tragic turn of events, 12-year-old Rohit Bahadur Chetry was kidnapped from the Kalikhola area by Najuso Tamai (32) and Govinda Tamang (28) and was murdered on the same day of his abduction. Despite this heinous act, the kidnappers continued to demand a ransom of 15 lakhs from Rohit’s father.
In an exclusive interview with ArunBhoomi News, SSP Lohit, Shri Tumme Amo shed light on the grim aspects of this case.
The body of Rohit Bahadur Chetry was recovered early this morning and has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Both the culprits have been arrested earlier but due to the delay in getting a confession, the case had to face some delay.
SSP Amo has appealed to the community to maintain peace and harmony, urging cooperation with the police to ensure that the perpetrators face exemplary punishment for their crime.
