Starts out kind of slow. Wish the tempo was faster but I'm probably just used to the faster tempo. Love the key change. Love the climax to the female vocalist :) Overall, a great song and presentation!
What is it with the modern disease of changing Julia Ward Howe's stirring call to sacrifice--as He died to make men holy let us die to make men free--into a call for no sacrifice whatsoever (live to make men free--what's that about?). Howe was an accomplished poet and playwright. She read, wrote, and spoke at least six languages. She knew exactly what she wanted to say and wrote it in Battle Hymn. QUIT CHANGING HER WORDS. You make a mockery of what she wrote when you do!
