Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination from Varanasi for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, seeking a third term from the constituency on May 14. UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, and NDA ally leaders, accompanied him while he filed for nomination. Varanasi goes in for polling on June 1 in the seventh and last phase of the general elections.
PM Modi hopes to retain his seat in the holy Hindu city Varanasi, his constituency, from where he ran and won, first in 2014 and then again in 2019. Prior to filing nominations, PM Modi offered prayers at Kaal Bhairav Temple. He also performed Pooja at Dashashwamedh Ghar ahead of filing nominations.
