Her whole mission is to kill He Who Remains and his variants to free everyone from what she perceives to be him stripping everyone of free will by enforcing his Sacred Timeline via the TVA. Here she wants to kill Victor to stop him from becoming He Who Remains, but his pleading reminded her that he himself is capable of free will and, by her own logic, isn't inherently destined to become He Who Remains.

I'm so happy you guys caught the "Sacred timeline" to "branched timeline" concept. So far, I'm really enjoying the writing of this show, it seems like they genuinely care so much & provide details that most people would miss just watching.

Its so ironic that Miss Minutes and Ravonna created a branched timeline themselves knowing what they did to keep the Sacred Timeline secure all those years.

Jonothan Majors is truly inspired in this episode. The way he's able to play variants on a single character that are all distinctly different yet unmistakably the same is freakin unbelivable

To hep Eric with his confusion about the End Of Time. Think of the Timeline as a strand of hair. The end of that hair is the point it meets your scalp. That point is the metaphorical End Of Time. Nothing exist past that strand because it hasn't grown yet. You can go back because the hair exist in the other direction. That being said the hair, much like time, is still growing and when it does the end point extends further, but never past the scalp.

You caught it! The first timeline Ramona went to was sacred timeline, the second time period was a branched timeline. So far no other reviewer that I’ve watched has picked that up. It guess HWR was the boy making candles. But no book came in the window. He kept making candles and his variant just got a lot of futuristic information. Until that book drop they were the same person with the same life. Don’t trust either one.

I have a feeling the secret is that Ravona was actually Victor Timely’s wife on the sacred timeline, or is at least from that time. I feel like that timeframe and her scene with him on the boat has more meaning behind it. It’d explain why the original Kang kept her by his side from the beginning, and could even be something akin to the “first tva recruit” being someone close to him on the sacred timeline

What did Miss Minutes tell Ravonna early in the episode, just before she asked Ravonna to drop the TVA book in the window of the boy who would become Victor Timely? Didn't she say that he foresaw his demise and that Ravonna was acting out his contingency plan? Free will doesn't exactly exist. Everyone living thing in the Multiverse, which is the Sacred Timeline, is living out the same story, and that's exactly what this phase of stories has been showing us. Look at all the Loki variants and the Nexus Events, their stories all lineup. What about the Doctor Strange Variants we saw in What If? and in Multiverse of Madness? Scarlet Witch too! We shouldn't forget about the Peter Parker Variants from No Way Home or the Spider-Man Variants in the Spider-Verse movies either. Every universe in the Multiverse is a variant of the same universe! And like the variants we've come to know, there are subtle to major differences between them. Despite the variations we've come to see with variants, one thing about them is always true, at their core, they are always the same person. Peter Parker is always a hero. Stephen Strange is always a proud learned man who strives to know everything. Loki, no matter what name he goes by or what he looks like, is always redeemable. Heck, even HWR's told us in his origin story that he and his variants were all doing the same thing at the exact same time when they met--stories are pre-determined. I think Aaron was the one who asked about the passage of time early on in your reaction. I wouldn't think too much about time too, much. Miles said it best in Into the Spider-Verse when using the Einstein quote, "time is relative." Look at the new branching realities on the Sacred Timeline, the branches aren't growing at the same rate, some branches are further along in their stories while others are much further behind. I'm going to point to the Loki Variants we met last season. We meet Teen Loki and Classic Loki. Teen Loki was purged from reality after killing Thor in his reality and Classic Loki lived passed Universe 616 Loki's story, much later! He was purged when he went back home because he grew homesick, thousands of years later. What about the Peters from No Way Home? Universe 616 Peter is still in High School, but the other two Peters are much older. Andrew's Peter is single and is still dealing with Gwen's death. Toby's Spider-Man was likely already married to MJ--didn't he imply that they worked something out? These Peters were plucked from their universe around the same time, but they are all at different points of their life--time is relative. Oh, Kang's technology is from the 31st Century in the comics, that's why his inventions are beyond many people's understanding. When you control all of time, you can acquire all the knowledge you need, time isn't an issue, after all. Kang also had his variants to collaborate with, until he no longer needed them, and they were equally intelligent. HWR had an eye on everything, and as someone who loved the game and loved winning, he scrutinized every moment of time in every universe, at least one would think he did. And it would appear that it paid off, as he found a variant of himself living in a time that stunted his potential, as this one explained. The period he lived in lacked the resources to build the things the TVA book spoke about. Is Victor the version of Kang that actually becomes HWR?

46:19 you can use the RU-vid red video scroll bar as an example. The whole video is the sacred timeline. The video preloads as it’s playing (the grey line) this is where Kang is at the end of what is already loaded. He knows what happens up to that point. The actual timeline is moving at normal speed (red scroll bar) where we are. You can jump to any part of the video and it will play normally but imagine you aren’t able to jump to a point beyond the grey scroll bar because it hasn’t loaded yet and you can’t go to a point beyond the beginning of the video. Same concept.

Tara Strong as Miss Minutes proves once again why she is one of the greatest voice actors OF ALL TIME! Also Victor Timely, Miss Minutes and Sylvie are all tragic victims of the original Kang in many ways. Miss Minutes because all she wanted from Kang was love, which being the evil bastard he is used that to ensure her loyalty and nothing else. Sylvie because like Victor, she is a variant who had her life ruined because she wanted break the cycle and be a good person. And Victor because he is much like Leonardo Da Vinci or Nikola Tesla, a genius ahead of his time who wants to genuinely make the world a better place, but is a victim of forces beyond his control, just like Sylvie. Also I honestly never thought we would ever get a mention of Thor’s REAL BIOLOGICAL BROTHER BALDER! Aside from God Of War 2018 he NEVER gets mentioned in any mainstream franchise.

I like how they're seemingly honing in on the whole time is a circle thing. Even the names, which are for some reason rarely talked about point to that. Ouroboros, Mobius... it's going to be very interesting how they will try to make sense of this. Also my first idea about Ravonna's secret was that she's a Kang variant. I think Miss Minutes is Ms. Renslayer. Miss Minutes is giving off a GIFfany [Gravity Falls] vibe because she's not a real girl and really wants to be, and both are talking about being by his side for all time.

I don’t think they’re thinking about time properly. He Who Remains was supposed to be at the end of time from the timeline perspective. He is in the TVA where there is no time and is at the end of the timeline’s time. However, we find out in the first episode that there is time in the TVA, so he’s not at the end of the time that the TVA is in, we even see that demonstrated here again by the fact that time has passed HWR’s body is deteriorating, and the walls are crumbling. But HWR is creating an Oroborus to loop time back on itself, where the end of time gives birth to the beginning of time. So, does time exist before the beginning of time? Does time exist after the end of time? Yes, it’s a never ending loop.

My interpretation: I think Loki uses the flat circle model for time. Mobius talked about it. Something like "It happens over and over again, because it has to". We see the sacred timeline as a ring a lot. He who remains was at the end of time but it was really more at the center of time or above it. He saw the dimension of time like we see a circle drawn on a piece of paper. Some where on the sacred time line (which spans eons) is a start/end point. The temporal loom seems weave raw temporal energy from destroyed timelines i to the sacred timeline

Eric’s initial point that was consuming Aaron was that it’s possible that He Who Remains took a young version of himself from another timeline and dropped him in a point in time where he would make minimal changes and never become a Kang unless his fail safe was enacted. And yes that would create a branch but keep in mind that the Sacred Timeline is just whatever the hell HWR decides it is, he could easily have dropped his younger self off, creating a branch timeline and then pruned the original timeline in which Victor Timely never existed.

At the end of Season 1, the end of Time was only known as the Void where all everything ended, due to the weaponized Alioth, according to what Renslayer said in epsiode 5. The only one that knew what was beyond the Void was Miss Miniutes, up until the Lokis enchanted Alioth to reveal/access the asteroid and the Citadel.

Hey Blind Wave guys, let me just clear few things about time in Loki series: He Who Remains isolated that timeline, specificly Sacred Timeline as it is called and he resides at the end of that timeline, just that timeline where he controls everthing but since Sylvie killed him that timeline is now exposed and its branching thus creating new timelines aka multiverse He Who Remains gave Renslayer a task to set him on the path in the past to kinda ressurect him in a way so he can become again He Who Remains later on. In the last episode of Season 1 he said that if they kill him then a bunch of his variants are gonna show up and he is gonna end up at the Citadel at the end of time anyways so that plan is now in motion. Victor Timely is gonna become He Who Remains. If that doesn`t happen then some other evil variant aka Kang the Conqueror is gonna destroy that timeline - which is probably the premise of next Avengers movie The Kang Dynasty We are probably gonna see at the end of Season 2 epic fail of that plan and evil Kang is gonna show up or maybe not, we will see what happens. What Loki and Mobious are trying to do is to save the TVA of being destroyed thinking that will save everything and everyone thus unknowingly helping He Who Remains to come back again.

He who remains mentioned they've got tech from year 3000. So, self-conscious AI like Ms Minutes is possible.

I just think of it like a hallway that is eternally printing more hallway. There's a door at the end of the hallway. The hallway has an end, but it's also always getting longer. He who remains has his office set up behind that door. Or like a train that is building the tracks as it moves along- the tracks end. But there will be additional tracks built. Kang was the one directing the construction of the tracks, but he got tired and wanted to pass the job onto Loki/Sylvie. When Sylvie killed him, it left the position up for grabs with lots of in-fighting.

Loki season 2, episode 3 was entitled "1893." This was the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition (Chicago World's Fair) celebrating the 400th anniversary of Columbus' arrival in the "New World" in 1492. I found this episode to be very interesting, one which revealed an early form of certain traits "He who remains" had. If Mr. Timely is so effective at making his advantages work for him in 1893 (e.g., personally, financially, technologically, etc.), imagine how powerful he would be in the future with exponentially greater resources and opportunities.

The way I see it, He Who Remains through the TVA pruned any timeline branches that would make a Kang that would discover the multiverse and start another Multiversal war. The fact that Victor Timely exists on the sacred timeline (which is made up of several streams of time branches) says that he would have never made that discovery if not for Revona's tampering.;

I suspect that when the characters in the show refer to the place at "end of time" what they *mean* is "at the end of the timeline", i.e. the furthest point in the timeline. So they don't refer to the conclusion of all of spacetime, but just use it as a quickhand way of saying "at the tip of the timeline, which is the only point that's actually writing new events". It's like being in the process of writing a letter. Wherever the pen is currently at is the furthest point, i.e. the current "end" of the writing. But that end is continuing to move forwards as the pen is writing, until the message is done. When that happens, then we will have arrived at the end of the letter, after which there will not be more writing.

The Kang that HWR put in 1800's as Victor Timely won't make a branch timeline since HWR is the one that made the Sacred Timeline. He gets to decide what gets to be in it. He probably sprinkled a shit ton of Kangs in the sacred timeline for emergencies. One guy in Moon Knight had a Rama Tut jacket IN THE SACRED TIMELINE, and that guy is also a Kang.

Just watched it, and immediately went for your reaction. What I have to say: this just continues getting better and better. This episode was awesome, especially for me, who loves past time ones 😊 This variant of Kang was hilarious and surprisingly nice, looking forward to see more of Victor Timely in this season. Jonathan Majors definitely nailed it 👌 👏 I like how you caught Marvel easter egg in there 😂 And guys - old good Sylvie is there again ⚡️Loved that she didn't kill anyone this time though. She did everything to get rid of Reislayer but the best way possible I think. But what secret does Reinslayer have? That kind of cliffhanger makes me anxious to see what's next 🙏

The old-fashioned MCU intro theme and set design for this episode were fantastic. They helped create a sense of nostalgia and atmosphere, and they perfectly matched the tone of the attack. The visual effects for old Timely Miss Minutes were outstanding. She looked like she had stepped right out of a 1940s cartoon, and her movements and expressions were all perfectly captured. Much care and attention made her look as believable as possible. It was also interesting to see how her envy evolved throughout the show. At first, she seemed simply jealous of Ravonna's power and authority. But as she learned more about the TVA and the true nature of her existence, her envy began to take on a more personal tone. She realized that Ravonna had everything she wanted: a physical body, the love of He Who Remains, and the potential to be the ruler of the TVA. Miss Minutes, on the other hand, was trapped in a digital world and was forever destined to be a servant. Loki's Season 2 writing is excellent. The show's writers have done a masterful job of crafting a complex and engaging story that builds on the events of the first season and explores new territory. Ghost Clock Miss Minutes was an incredibly creative and visually stunning design. The way that the clockwork gears and mechanisms were incorporated into her body was both ingenious and beautiful. Her ghostly appearance also added a touch of whimsy and otherworldliness to the character. I especially enjoy the interaction between Loki and Mobius. Victor Timely was the MVP of the third episode of Loki season 2. He was a fascinating and complex character, and his performance was truly captivating. Miss Minutes' desire for a body and love with He Who Remains was a very intriguing and unexpected plot twist. It was also quite creepy, given that she is an artificial intelligence. It is interesting to consider why she developed these feelings for He Who Remains. Perhaps it was because he created her and gave her a sense of self. He initially made her a simple A.I. chess partner, but he later gave her autonomy to write her programming, allowing her to have wants and follow whims. I am excited to see what the future holds for Miss Minutes. She is a unique and fascinating character, and I hope we learn more about her backstory and motivations in the future. It is a charming detail that Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes are carrying out He Who Remains' plan, even after his death. This suggests that He Who Remains had more foresight than anyone thought and had already taken steps to ensure that his vision for the multiverse would continue, even if he was no longer around. Victor Timely was a fascinating character, and his interactions with the other characters in the episode were very well-written and acted. Overall, the thought of Miss Minutes knowing all of He Who Remains' secrets is very unsettling. She is a powerful and mysterious character with the potential to cause much damage. The revelation of Ravonna Renslayer's secret was a brilliant way to end the episode. Seeing He Who Remains' lifeless body at the Citadel at the End of Time is truly magnificent. It is a strong symbol of the end of an era and the start of a new one. Victor Timely's appearance was inspired by Frederick Douglass, which I think is very fitting. He is an excellent example of strength, courage, and intelligence.

End of time is the time/location in the TVA universe where he who remains existed. So he’s basically rebooting himself. I’m imagining that he who remains got a TVA handbook dropped through a window at the time and location when he was at that age. So, he had miss minutes repeat that act in order to recreate the circumstances that lead to his current version of his existence.

This episode outclassed all of season 1. The entire season. I have higher hopes for the rest of this season.

Victor Timely/Kang....the last name Timely is an Easter egg for Marvel fans. Timely Comics is the common name for the group of corporations that was the earliest comic book arm of American publisher Martin Goodman, and the entity that would evolve by the 1960s to become Marvel Comics. 🤔

Is the Sacred timeline the original timeline of Kang that's why it's called the sacred timeline because it's his timeline. The entire timeline could act as a computer to Miss Minutes seeing how Kang managed to make timelines into physical strands he could have made Miss Minutes into something that treats timelines as a computer she the AI of the timeline.

You guys missed the double bike joke with Loki and Mobius! Ah well. I really, really loved seeing the start of Sylvie's character development in this. Growing out of an impulse to kill and seeing someone's humanity, even resisting the urge to kill Renslayer. It's a powerful turn of character and I really appreciate that what Loki says is getting through to her. I am really hoping she'll be safe from any timeline dissolution in the future.

The conversation at the end of this video reminded me of Avengers when the team was arguing over time travel movies. 😅 I started to think about how Season 1 of Loki said the Avengers were allowed to mess with time. Which at the time kind of felt like a one off (fix). However now when I think about it.... they were accidentally preserving the sacred time line and allowing our Loki to be taken by the TVA who then helps Sylvie who would make the choice to kill he who remains. I also see this theme popping up again. Thor met Eternity. The Eternals now have to deal with Arisham... Loki is dealing with this never ending spiral of time. Stakes are being raised. I'm excited to see what's next. 😊

The End of time thing: If we think of time as linear, which feels wrong but I ingore that for now, the End of Time in this could simply be the point where Time is created, meaning you can not jump further ahead in time, because that doesnt exist yet.

He Who Remains' hall is basically a pocket dimension outside of the timelines. It's like a hyperbolic time chamber with windows looking out. Sort of. The palace could even be considered the dot in the middle of the time circle... A dot being a really small filled in circle. So there is an advancement of time, just not as wide as the line. I'd want to know if Loki had Sylvie's Time Pad from HWR when he was time slipping and went to HWR's place in the future, what that would look like. I'd assume same as when Sylvie sent MM and RS because his palace doesn't exist in the line or the TVA. Hard to say. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.
