But he WAS embraced, he just wasn't destined to be ruler of Asgard. He was the beloved prince, alongside his boisterous brother. With Hela being his older sister, I'd say Thor was more the odd one out than Loki ever was.
@@J.Jonah.Jameson.No, in Asgard, Thor was always the center of everyone's attention, he was the favorite of his father and the people. Loki was actually lonely because no one was interested in his brother's background. Only his mother really cared about him and gave him as much attention as Thor, so Loki loved her.
@@J.Jonah.Jameson. I am sorry but Thor and Loki were raised to hate Frost Giants. Frost Giants really were the monsters that parents told their children about at Night on Asgard..Odin knew Loki's true race and yet he raised Loki to hate his own race.. Odin didn't tell Loki about his race and family even after 1000+ years and Loki had to find out himself. Also Thor himself admitted it once that "despite his grave imbalance..Loki understood rule better than I ever would" So why exactly was Thor picked as the ruler? Because he was the favorite among Asgard. Loki was not so strong like Thor...but he was wise..And yet he always gets shushed out and cast aside(Two examples in first Thor Movie: Thor's friends saying "What? Silver tongue turned lead?" and Odin literally shushing Loki during the Thor casting our scene despite Loki being quiet the entire time.)
@@KayelaProjects damn l can't open my mouth watching those scenes with my family.. so bad their favorite character is gender fluid and pansexual but they are phobic
At this point you just have to appreciate that Hiddleston has played like 6 different versions of the same character and they're all flawlessly consistent.
I appreciate the fact that you focused on Tony’s face once Loki said “I’ll have that drink now” like Tony knows Loki is a problem but also finds him hilarious at that time and a lot of people didn’t realise it
The nick fury and loki scene is so good looking back. Loki was right about everything he said. Shield wanting unlimited power, how the avengers are all lost broken creatures (all suffered trauma), how the cage wasn't fit for him because it can't block magic. Loki is always right. He just underestimated the avengers in the end. If he hadn't been a diva he might have won.
I think he didn’t want to win he was clearly tortured when he had just got to earth and he’s clearly scheming and intelligent it is very unlikely that had he been in his right mind, he would have done the same. I think all of this was his plan
I believe the only reason he lost at the end was merely because he's portrayed a villain. Who could have won against that army of his and all the destruction he caused. But avenger movies are all like that, no matter how great your plan is, how much magic and powers you have, only the heroes will win at the end, the average protagonist loving plots, you know.
4:32 his encounter with dr strange will never not be hilarious, form the I’ve been falling for 30 mins to him calling dr strange a second rate sorcerer 😂
I can never get over Anthony Hopkins playing Loki lol! It's really funny seeing him play such a silly and playful character compared to the rather serious characters he usually plays.
Back to the time every superheroes on Earth thought they knew everything in the universe and now 1 Loki is the one who fights to keep the timelines of all the universes
This about sums up the relationship between Loki and his father and brother: Odin: You are not my son. Loki: *cries* Thor: You are my brother. Loki: I’m adopted.
Thor Ragnarok is a testament to what actors can do with a director that respects their talent, rolls with it, and makes the set a fun place to be. Comedy gold @ 6:51
But is the same director of Thor love and thunder I don't know what happened recently he has said he didn't know the character and also that he accepted doing Thor for money which is not bad but come on if he wanted he could've made a better movie.
The people of Asgard knew it was Loki; not one guard or citizen intervened when Thor threatened Odin. I bet the reason why they didn’t drop the façade until after Thor exposed him-mind you, one of the actors admitted he knew it was Loki-was that the people were finally happy to have peace from the royal family’s quarrels. And now, with Loki finally getting what he wanted-the throne. Loki was mellow. The life of the party when he wasn’t trying to take over the nine realms.
Honestly at this point he's light years away from everyone else (except Sylvie and other loki varriants) in the mcu in charisma and character growth. All hail our God of Mischief and sass

Watching all these again after the Loki series finale. Interesting to see that he used to abhor sentiment but now has enough of it to sacrifice himself to save his friends, and ultimately, the multiverse.
@@jiya5713 i think you are right. This is the Loki that grabbed the tesseract from the battle of New York in Avengers end game. When they went back in time to get the infinity stones.
The other Asgardians I feel are so used to all the royal shenanigans that it hardly fazes them. They're just like 'yep, thats our prince' when Loki does crazy shit. They were barely surprised that he was pretending to be Odin. I'm sure some of them find him endearing. I love it.
Lemme just say in the comics he literally calls himself the god of stories instead of evil (like he is refereed to in the comics) he is always dramatic af tho
That's partially why I'm pissed that Loki was killed off early in Infinity War. Like imagine if Loki and Banner had both landed in the Sanctum Santorum and then Loki went with Tony to space cuz he knows the inner workings of Thanos’s army and weaponry cuz of the year he spent with him. Top it off with the fact that Peter (Spiderman) stowed away on the ship to help Tony rescue Dr. Strange, and that now Loki was helping to save him too, that would have been funny and iconic.
I love anything and everything to do w Loki - and definitely everything he says! The only thing that bothers me in this video (well really in Ragnorok) is when Thor tells that story re Loki turning himself into a snake & then shapeshifting back into himself and stabbing Thor (“we were eight at the time”). I adore Loki’s smile, of course, but THEY were definitely not eight. Thor is older than Loki. That’s established at numerous points thruout Marvel (& while not as imp., thruout Marvel comics as well). Maybe only by, say, two human years but he’s older. (And I’m guessing at the age. Thru the flashback we see during the original Thor movie. Maybe three years. ) But they were NOT both eight. Thor could have been eight and Loki five. Or six. It’s a stupid point to harp on but it bothers me every time I see Thor tell that story. Anyway, apart from nitpicking that point, as said, I adored the entire video and your other one as well!! (You’ve made lots of vids. I meant the other 10+ minute vid of Loki mischief. ) I don’t have the creative skills to make videos so I’m always impressed with other ppls work, especially when they piece together their editing just so. Thank you again!! 😊🙃😘🥰🥰
I think Marvel dropped the ball on Thor's and Loki's relative ages. I looked up the actors who played the young versions in Thor, and they are about a year apart in age only. Loki was found by Odin in 965 A.D., making him 1053 years old in 2018. In Endgame, Thor says that he "only lived in Asgard for 1500 years or so", making him significantly older than Loki, as per the comics. On the other hand, taking into account that no one in Asgard slipped up to tell Loki he was adopted, I'm cynically assuming that no one knew about it (except for Odin, Frigga, and perhaps Heimdall), so I was tempted to think they were supposed to be twins. Twins may be only minutes apart in age, but in a royal family someone would definitely keep track of which one was older. But magic may have been involved to make Asgardians near Frigga retroactively remember her second pregnancy. Here ends my rant about the discrepancy of their ages. :)
@@hekkoCZ Where exactly is it that Frigga would believe (thru magic or otherwise) that she had twins? She appears to have always known that Odin brought back Loki from Jotunheim. Certainly in the Marvel movies, and I believed in the comics and mythology as well. I don’t wish to go back and reread Norse mythology - I am pretty positive that Thor is known to be older, and I certainly believed it was known - by BOTH Frigga and Odin - that Loki was Jotun. It’s possible, though I doubt that the Marvel comics would change things that much re the ages of the Odinson family. Bc it’s something that comes up in plays, novels, operas, etc. [Not the specific ages of the boys so much as the stories re Thor and Loki.] I’m not so much doubting you as wondering where this happened? Indeed, this discrepancy in ages always made Odin’s speech to the boys in the throne room (or wherever they were) sound ridiculous to me as well (I.e., “you were both born to be kings, but only one of you can be king of Asgard”) bc as Thor was his firstborn, and progenitor* laws were used in those days, Thor was obviously the heir to the throne, Loki (supposedly) being the spare. OTOH, Odin may still have had his Machiavellian scheme in mind when he said that so who really knows what he meant. [Just the worst parent in history. IMPO.] *Hopefully, I’m using the correct word.
@@prosen8966 Not Frigga, Frigga knew Loki was adopted, and I even wrote it in my post. But literally everyone else in Asgard. Human history teaches us that if a couple adopt a baby, neighbours would notice, and if you don't tell your kid it's adopted, one of the other kids will. So nearly everyone in Asgard believed the Loki was born to Frigga, and for some reason didn't question it eventhough the queen had not been pregnant and delivered the baby without any assistance?
@@hekkoCZ I’m so sorry. I completely misread your previous comment. Which, looking back now, does appear stupid even in (especially in) my eyes. I swear I used to be smarter, and have been losing IQ points steadily since college. Sort of like a slower version of Algernon. Haven’t been sleeping well and literally just saw finale of Loki. Not giving away spoilers (I would be really really mad at somebody that did that to me.) Just wondering (albeit I may understand better w more sleep and a second viewing) if you would wish to explain in a slightly deeper manner than the basic notion of a recap, what in the ever loving f*ck happened? [But, obviously, you need not bother if you don’t wish to.] I mostly just wanted to say I’m sorry that I’m incapable of understanding the English language, and apologize that you had to explain it to me. I’m scared that my college will find out and retroactively take back my degree as I actually majored in English and American Lit. Indeed, I’m pretty positive I’ll lose my graduate degree as well (which you can probably guess, since approximately 60% of all English majors go on to become [xxx]. ) 🧐😊🤪🥰🥰
