keeping all your feelings towards someone all to yourself is yes the safest way to not ruin things between the both of you, and minsan makokontento na lang talaga tayo sa ganito but what i learned is madaling bumitaw pag sigurado. you can't fully let go of your feelings towards someone if there are uncertainties that are holding you back such as the thought that what if they might actually like you back? what if kung kailan nakamove on ka na saka mo malalaman na nagkagusto rin pala siya sayo? mabuti na rin yung umamin ka at hinarap mo ang sagot at least kung siguradong wala man siyang nararamdaman sayo that will be your reason to finally move on na diba??

There’s this guy I like. He's the class clown. He enjoys playing basketball, gaming, making people laugh, and socializing. He's a talkative extrovert. He's well-liked at our school and can converse with almost anyone. Furthermore, he is a red flag. He uses racist language and finds the word "gay" amusing. He's the type to always look at sexy girls and prioritize appearance over all else. He's had a lot of crushes in the past, including me when we were in 7th grade. We're in 9th grade now, and the first time I saw him on the first day of school this year, after only seeing each other online due to the pandemic, I fell for him. I'm not sure why my heart chose him over all the other good guys. All I know is that I'm certain of my feelings for him. I think about him all the time, get butterflies with every small interaction, dream about him, and even make up scenarios with him. Our class ships us two with each other because they all know he used to like me and some of them know I like him. I actually think he still likes me based on the hints he's been dropping, but I could be wrong. And here's another thing: I'm not sure if this is right. I am an introverted high honor student, wealthy, liked by many, and well-educated, whereas he is the polar opposite. He performs poorly in school, his family is not financially secure, and he lacks the characteristics of a decent human being, such as not being racist or homophobic. He and I live in different worlds. He's younger and has so much more to learn. Does he deserve me? I may sound arrogant, but I'm being honest about how things are right now. Are my expectations too low? Should I suppress my feelings? It's a little embarrassing to like someone like him when I know I could pull off someone better. But my heart chose him; should I listen to my heart or my mind, which tells me to raise my standards? To be honest, I enjoy the sensation of liking someone, which is what I am currently experiencing after many years. I don't want to miss out on a high school romance, and just being around him makes me happy. I'm not sure. I'm at a loss for what to do.

i met him when i was in high school. i was a typical high schooler, babad sa studies (i didn't want to disappoint my parents.. and myself so i disregarded everything, including my love life. but one unexpected afternoon, when i was in the library, alone with my thoughts, i caught a glimpse of his bright smile, glimmering in the sun. i was shy syempre, i didn't even know this guy, but god, how he caught my heart. i came over and asked what he was reading, he responded with a giggle (i giggled too, cause i found him cute). i asked for his name, i was completely caught up in the moment that i've ignored the fact that i should be studying. i was ready to risk it all. fast forward, we went out. at first, parang fairytale lang, there were no problems. we'd always go out for street foods after school. i hid this from my parents, i didn't want them to see me in this state, i was deeply in love with him, i was willing to give him everything i could. but after a while, like ibang high school romance stories, everything went downhill. he started being cold, acting nonchalant. i was a softhearted girl and i couldn't take this. dati, we would always spend our breaks in the library, but now, he doesn't even bat an eye when i invite him to go. i was deeply hurt by his frivolous actions, so... i let him go. it has been a decade, and im now a successful wedding photographer, and di pa rin siya matanggal sa isipan ko and ask myself what we could've been. accepting an offer by a lady who has the same name as me, i was astonished by her husband's smile, shining brightly as the sun hit his golden facade, his hazelnut eyes brought me back to my highschool days. i looked down at the invitation with my name and his engraved. it was then that reality struck me that i wasn't gonna be the woman he's going to spend his life with until it reaches twilight. i smiled bitterly, capturing this unforgettable moment. i was happy for them, yes, but oh how i wish i was the one caressing his cheeks, and brushing his silky hair. as my lips met the cold glass of champagne, along came the pool of tears that fused with the bittersweet taste of my liquor.
