This is such an important song to listen to. Something I hope everyone who can relate can hear once. It's okay to feel what you feel. Whether right not it's a victim or a survivor. You feel. You feel so strongly it makes you function and go on about your day still. Don't let them suppress you into silence. Don't let them turn you numb. Your feelings are valid, you matter, your feelings matter. One day you'll feel different, just make it til then 'kay?

This really strikes the spot. Most people are always controlled by others opinion and it hurts. Not physically but more on the personality of a person. This is not just what people call "teenage angst" or "hormonal imbalance", this is more of the unconscious and unnoticeable manipulation of people. This people who cannot stand up for who they want to be bottles rebuke of what is done to them that leads to explosive actions in the future. How sad that others mock this invisible wounds.

I'm not a survivor but as a child I had (and still do) severe anger issues, that would all be fine but I was shoving it all down and not getting even the tiniest bit of help for it and this song is one of the most relatable song i've found addressing anger, its so well written and sung, the tone is just absolutely perfect for everything. Thank you for this absolute masterpiece ❤ As a survivor of a lifetime of this stuff, I have been repeatedly asked "why are you so angry?" , "why won't you SHUT UP about it (when I have manic episodes of bipolar and literally have no control over the graphic details coming out of my mouth for hours as I have bipolar & CPTSD as you can probably tell)" "why didn't you call the police (lol yeah cause they really gave a sh*t the one-time I did & the UK has a less than 6 percent conviction rate)" , "why don't you forget about it all (even when one person involved was hanging around near my house everyday!)" , and told "you need to get over it" & "to forgive them or you won't get into heaven (during a 15 min rant at me - & I'm a pagan so!). And that was all just from "mental health professionals" here in England. That's the typical responses from those in the "caring profession" here to survivors, so no wonder the general public are so dismissive/abusive towards us. And now, for women ( mainly) who have been through horrific trauma and are given the Borderline personality disorder label here, a new initiative called #SIM is criminalizing those in crisis who ask for help - and putting them in jail. Not making this up. If you're in the UK and under MH services, please read up on this and oppose it.
