Lollipop XC Loop Part 3: Gabrielino from Switzer toward JPL | Los Angeles Mountain Biking

This is part 3/3 of the Lollipop XC Loop. Riding down on Gabrielino Trail from Switzer toward JPL where we started. That segment was very difficult on the way up, but much more enjoyable on the way down. We gotta be careful with the exposure there and walk the sections we're not sure about because the consequences are high and it would take a while for a rescue team to get there. Just take your time and you'll have an amazing time. It took us roughly an hour to descent down to JPL from where the video starts. The camera didn't capture the whole descent, unfortunately, due to an "incident" that corrupted the video file.
We call it the Lollipop Loop because the map looks like a lollipop. It took us 6.5 hours to complete that day, with temperatures reaching over 40C (104F). I was riding with reigning XC Marathon State Champion Josh Tootell. This was a good training day for me before heading to the Swiss Epic where we had to ride a similar loop each day for 5 days in a row.

Having some fun watching you vids. Some very tough trails. Rode the Gab several years back. Started getting dizzy from the exposure and focusing too hard on the narrow trail. The technical aspects of the trail are very taxing. you guys make it look so easy. Its not for sure.

Is there a piece missing here? The campground to the start of this video.... I heard that section was fixed.....and is there a part 4?

I didn't record the part from Switzer along the river, and the climb out, as it's usually crowded with frequent stopping. There's no part 4 unfortunately. The memory card got corrupted in the crash. There's still a good amount of single track left afterward.
