It’s already too late, he filed a one time switch to Mexico. He can only represent Mexico now.

He was on the USMNT his youth all the way up to 2020 playing in the u20 World Cup for the US also, but being Mexican american he is able to make a one time switch to represent his other nation (mexico) because he stated that’s where his heart was at and dreamed of doing growing up in a Mexican household. He can’t go back to the USMNT even if he wanted too due to the rule

@@Dead_Silence2016 The US market is growing. He could get endorsements etc for playing for the US. He was developed here not Mexico and this would make a fine story. Top Mexicans are playing in MLS and Liga MX. IDK either. He does need to improve his crossing. I have season seats with Galaxy and he is one of my favorites. I give him a huge break because he is young. I would like Alverez to play with USMNT.
